@PrettyTigerlilly Botflies are simular but not quite the same. The Botfly spreads its larvea by attaching its eggs to the underside of a smaller insect which then bites a warm blooded host. When the eggs come near a warm blooded host the glue that holds them to the carrier insect releases and the heat causes the eggs to hatch. Then the botflies enter the skin. The Tumbu fly lays its larva in dirt containing animal feces where they then hatch and wait for a warm blooded host to come along.
