It's for the little button to show the results of the modifier stack. "Show end result on/off toggle"

You can just press that button (at the bottom of the modifier stack) or you can set up a hotkey.

Hi, how do you model using only the isoline display (no annoying orange lines)? I did not find this feature in 3dsmax 9, maybe you're using 2010?

@lep4372 Go to editable poly modifier, on the modify tab, under subdivision surface, "show cage" check box.

Hi man.

It wouldn't be much of a tutorial...it's mostly making boxes and Cylinders and beveling them into different shapes. There already exists pleanty of tutorials on how to do that stuff.

@stenionet this is a tutorial but you must know a little bit about max. To me, this tut is very helpful, I just use max 2 months ago. First he used a cylinder, convert to editable poly then delete half of cylinder, add symmetry modifier( mirror in tool bar work too). Add turboSmooth. He used much of bevel, some extrude to create shape, clone attach and insert too!(just right click on view port, most of helpful tools there) ;)

Also people check out "Segreto" on the Threedy forums - he just posted an awesome video of modelling a gun with max. It shows some great modelling plugins and how efficient max can be.

Well first off the best programs you'll be dealing with in the industry are Maya, Max, Cinema 4d, Lightwave, Houdini. Don't even try and bad mouth any of these because you'll look like an idiot. Also, nice video but ummmmm, why the music, i know its a personal choice and whatever, but i watched 4 seconds and thats all i can handle, probably same with the rest of the youtube population seeing as how you only have 1200 views, might want to think about that next time.

Thankyou for your comment. I'm not too worried about how many people watch it...the project is finished I think because the manager can't continue with it. About the music, it's very ironic you should comment about it today...I just saw this band last night for the first time in my life and they were quite average so I've lost a lot of respect for them now. Nonetheless I'm a huge death metal fan and as you say that's my preference.
