Dammnn, it was always SOOOO hard as a kid to beat this game. I got so mad so many times. My controllers have been thrown into the wall god knows how many times, and they still work perfect to this day. This was the hardest Double Dragon by far!

@TopLife8 Easy. After you get your opponent in a crouching position (with a kick or three punches) simply walk into them and you'll automatically grab them. If you simply turn away, your opponent will attempt to stand up straight. If you don't turn back fast enough, your opponent will recover, but if you turn back quickly you will grab them once again. Each time you grab your opponent anew you'll be able to deliver the max of 3 knee/elbow strikes before they fall.

Another thing that works with her is her tell. Right when she's about to raise her hand for an attack (as long as you aren't RIGHT NEXT to her, because if you are she will unleash a ground attack and you won't be able to stop it, or will just warp), she is defenseless and thus you can melee her ass. Chin and the iron claw are good there. Or you can stun her with a kick and follow with a punch or if you're good, a spin attack. Ranzou is great in this fight if you're good with him. Experiment!

The strategy he was using with Ranzou is a good one, as the jump kick takes a lot of life out of the enemy. However, it is a bit dangerous. A more conservative strategy would be to just jump kick with Ranzou or Chin or use Ranzou's awesome roundhouse just like he started using on the princess. More conservative, but in this game it really counts. I just try to use up the weapons at the very beginning (while still being conservative) and then go for the clean kill with kicks and Chin's fists.

It's just a quick fix job of the localization. In the actual Japanese version of the game, the final boss is Cleopatra, and Marion has nothing to do with the game (the quest is for enlightenment and find the best fighters). It's just the localization heh.
