  • @ScorchinBeats everybody does know about the concept. It does work. This is just an implementation that requires little fabrication because he's modifying an alternator.

  • To separate:Put it in the freezer for a night and heat the part to be removed with blowtorch which should loosen it.Several attempts maybe required,try not to directly heat the shaft,need to keep that cooler.These are usually fitted with a several ton press so they are tight.

     If I'll strike too hard , or in diagonal , I'll bend the axis !!! So : DON'T DO IT !

    I hired a mecanic and told him what and how to do in some moments. 2 days with spray anti-rust and very small shocks with a hammer to allow spray to get inside, between the axis and the claw's hole; then I put the claws ( "pins", "heads") on the vice's jaws, and with a hammer I stroke a bronze drift put it on the head of the axis, several times NOT very hard (I let the NUT on the head of the axis to protect the thread).

    DON'T DO IT !

    JUST FOR THEORY ( hints ):

    1. See ALL the features of a classical-car-alternator !

    2. A classical-car-alternator works over 1000RPM (to generate the designed POWER) !

    3. If the MAGNETIC FIELD of the magnet is as strong as the M.F. of the coil , and do the same work , obviously : the alternator will generate the same POWER ( as the original design ) ! Once again: JUST FOR THEORY, NOT FOR PRACTICE ! PS: send an e-mail; (so many aspects).

  • andyrands,both the claw magnets are finely splined, both press onto/along the standard Delco shaft, though it helps tohave a press or at least good vice drifts lump hammer handy.

  • Theoretical : Compare a classical-car-alternator ( ALL the features ) with a modifyed-car-alternator ( one like in the "video" ) and thus you can see the ADVANTAGES ( of the one in the "video" ) . PS : If you can't observe the advantages , ask a Teacher ( from a technical-school , better : with a profile like "energetics" ). That's what I say to help you. Good luck !   • @Kywdo I think you mean 'voltage' when you say 'electrical tension'. 

  • The GOLDEN RULE ( especially at a prototype): first Calculus (with tests for feed-back), then Practice !!! A device have features (a car-alternator (what type ?) have technical-characteristics such as: Power, Rotation per minute (RPM), etc.). The Calculus considers (analyses) also the Practical facts (e.g.1: the classical rotor (coil) have rings and brushes as electrical-contacts, between them occures sparks which will give magnetic-field with some disturbances; the Average will be different).

  • The Golden Rule : first Calculus, then Practice; (e.g.2: a car-alternator is for to charge the Battery which have about 12V, but the alternator is regulated to give about 14V); (e.g.3: a car-alternator have diodes; if one of them is broken, the Power will diminish significant); (e.g.4: if the contacts are oxidized, the Power will be smaller);(e.g.5: the magnetic-fields of the magnets usually changes inside of the device; so, tests are good; also same-shapes magnets can have different Structure).

  • The Golden Rule : first Calculus, then Practice ; (e.g.6: a small car-engine works between about 1000 and 3000 RPM (most of the time at about 1500 RPM); between the engine and the alternator is a transmission-belt; Calculus will consider the real transmission-ratio (for my alternator is about 1); (e.g.7: at a classical alternator the rotor ( coil-"excited" ) gets the tension from Battery to form the magnetic-field, but also the tension generated by the stator's alternator reaches the rotor ) .

  • The Golden Rule : first Calculus ( with tests for feed-back ) then Practice ; ( * conclusions * : big chance that from direct Practice to get WEAK results ( only a perfect conjuncture can give the best result ) ; so, it is better to try the Golden Rule . Sometimes good results comes from direct Practice , but the best results comes usually when Calculus and tests are present .

  • The GOLDEN RULE : first Calculus , then Practice !!!

PS: This can be an additional business, for the ones who already have a business in "materials recovery from broken-cars" ; and for the producers of car-alternators ; and for ... etc. PS2: Now I am thinking to put together devices for a complete "FREE-GREEN-ENERGY-ARRAY" ( devices which can-must be used, to obtain the green-system which can deliver the needed electricity . For start : just for the light-bulbs ).

  • It has REAL POWER ! ( if the magnetic field of the magnet is as powerfull as the magnetic field of the replaced coil : it can have about the same power - SEE THE FEATURES of a small CAR-ALTERNATOR - all of them ) . PS: I must make a "video" which will show an EASY method for to compare magnetic fields !!!
