1) she has no need for showing of her dance b´cos she is a singer,

2) she is dancing to other aspects of the song then rhythm, respecting the mood of the song: she is not in a hurry to disturb the guy´s comfort giving him a chance to watch her and change his mind

3) dancing around 5:40 reminds more of female social dancing which is unchoreographed, and can be quite timid even shy; dance after 6:18 is clearly a choreo, you can observe fast accented moves with slow and sultry movements which is typical for oriental dance.

I wish I could help. I am not really specialist; its just my observation.

she doesn't copy Shakira who ever says that is obviusly forgetting shakiras roots and where her influenes from dancing are. Shakira is half Lebanese but born and raised in Columbia, a Latin country while myriam is 100 percent lebanese Arab! Nobody is copying anybody! Shakira moves fast and hard while myriam moves slow and soft. But they both move their hips! Their mysic is totally different but they do look the same! Same hair! Nice bodies!
