@Killbore1 No. You do not have to be 18 or 21 to shoot a pistol. To buy or own one independently of your parents / guardian is another question. With parent / guardian supervision, there is no minimum age.
Of course you don't want to hand a child a cannon when he / she is not mature or strong enough to handle it. I started shooting .22's when I was 3 with my Grandfather holding the gun, and was carrying my own by 6 (single shot). Hunting on my own by 12 on family land where it was legal.

I just recently started guns at 15 and it has taught me many things. And even tho i hunt it has taught me to respect life. Like when i go shooting i only shoot things im going to eat or they are pest species in my friends crops. Most people that have murdered people were not taught how to use guns when they were little and they also had bad child hoods. Dont blame guns, blame people.

I started shooting at the age of 5, only with a red rider. Then grew to the .22lr at the age of 8. Once I hit 12 I had used every gun in my father's gun safe. My dad taught me how to use a gun properly (but i still missed half a dozen deer with a rifle) but I love bow hunting as well. Shooting and hunting are not only fun activities but they are also a sport. My son will be shooting as soon as he can say "dad, I wont aim at anything but the paper targets or squirrels & always check the chamber"

@jason127x99 i was trained to shoot boar with and clean/maintain a 1911, an AK-47, a sks, ar-10, ar-15, m-14, and mosin nagant before i was 11, i could strip them, clean them, have them back together again, load them, and hit a mark faster than a force recon marine (literaly), and i NEVER even so much as went near them without my fathers permision (and if you dont have enough control to blow off steam without reasorting to violence then you shouldnt have a gun in the first place)

@buchs05 not necessarily its any age to shoot 18 to own a rifle and or shotgun and in most states its 22 to purchase or own a handgun but this also depends on the state i do know this rule applies to about 34 states that i know of idk about the rest but never a law about who can shoot them thats why most states and counties offer safety gun classes for all ages

This kid shot his first rabbit at 3 and his first gator at 7 and his first bear at 10, you couldnt start them much younger. As far as "really week guns" The Wilson CQB Elite in his right hand and the Les Bear Custom in his right are .45 cal 1911's. nothing week about them! 9mm PFT, toy stuff, you have no clue what your taking about. Check our videos and you will see him shoting 50 cals, Desert Eagles etc.

I think teaching children the proper way to shoot and hunt is a good thing. The people who think guns are evil will think you are a bad parent,
Me I think teaching a kid how to use a gun and helping them understand the dangers and the proper way to handle a fire arm is a good thing.
the kids that I worry about is the kids whos primary experience with a gun comes from a video game. It looks like some good father and son interaction to me!

i have two teen boys, and they've been shooting ever since they cold walk... i would trust my boys with guns before most grown-ups any day of the week and five times on sat. or sun... if you teach kids about weapon safety and let them shoot with you they won't play with the guns because they will know that you can't take that bullet back after it's on it's way... nice shootin little man, let em have it...

I was brought up around guns and hunting and I have never even contemplated shooting someone I had a problem with. You dumb fucking liberals are just looking for another excuse to give shooters/hunters a shitty rep. If you have a problem with someone and it comes down to it, you settle it with your bare hands. @jason127x99 i was trained to shoot boar with and clean/maintain a 1911, an AK-47, a sks, ar-10, ar-15, m-14, and mosin nagant before i was 11, i could strip them, clean them, have them back together again, load them, and hit a mark faster than a force recon marine (literaly), and i NEVER even so much as went near them without my fathers permision (and if you dont have enough control to blow off steam without reasorting to violence then you shouldnt have a gun in the first place)

In that case, I bet that if this kid ever gets in a fight in school he will just kick the other kids ass and forget about it. I say this because I was brought up around hunting and guns just as much as this kid and I got in fights in school but I usually ended them shortly after they started. Not that most of them worked out good for me lol

@ctgolfer Last I knew, you had to be 18 to carry and shoot pistols. You can purchase them at 21. Unless that's a state law and your state allows for minors to carry and shoot handguns.

@buchs05 not necessarily its any age to shoot 18 to own a rifle and or shotgun and in most states its 22 to purchase or own a handgun but this also depends on the state i do know this rule applies to about 34 states that i know of idk about the rest but never a law about who can shoot them thats why most states and counties offer safety gun classes for all ages

Automatic weaponry, heavy weapons (California banned the 50cal), Silencers, incin ammo, tracers, etc etc etc etc.... nothing is ILLEGAL when it comes to guns if you have the permit, and anyone without a criminal background can get any of those permits provided they have a pen, a mail box, an envelope and a stamp.... of and the cash for the fee ;)

That was AWESOME!! Great video. I laughed my head off. My favorite was when he was dual wielding the 1911's. That was great. The truth is, if more dads spent time hunting with their boys there would be a lot less children killing people. One of the common factors in child killers is lack of parental involvement in the life of the child. Read Gavin de Beckers "The Gift of Fear" great book. He covers the subject extensively.
