the guarentees are LEGALLY BINDING. The EU is run under the priniciples of human dignity, freedom, demogracy and equality - that is set out by the Lisbon treaty also. If the EU were so suddenly change their mind about these guarentees after the Lisbon treaty is passed then they would be breaking EU law, so that is highly unlikely to happen. once the treaty is passed then the assurances that have been given to us will annexed as part of the treaty.

Lisbon IS good for Irish jobs.

We have completely forgotten what it was like before we joined the EU.

Young people were leaving Ireland in our droves.

I know things are bad now but they were a lot worse before we joined the EU.

If we say No we will lose so many jobs. It's a complicated treaty but we are going to give a simple message to Europe, a Yes or a No.

If we say No our political stability (as a member of the EU) will be shot and companies will leave.

Then when you vote you'll make an 'informed' vote on the full facts that YOU find yourself and are not TOLD or SHOWN.

I think it's handy to have the EU in the sense that while they haven't been much good up until now, they won't allow Ireland to collapse if worst comes to worst. I'd much rather the EU than NAMA.

I was saying the government was also using NAMA as a scare tactic, in terms of "Oh if we don't make these cutbacks; NAMA will have to come in". I imagine if they're any use, as I said, the EU wouldn't let it get to that point regardless of whether we vote Yes or No.
