Actually a lot of Jon Foreman's solo work has plenty of straight forward love songs for his wife...this is one of them. Yes he writes plenty of songs about his faith, but sheesh. Let's not make him out to be corny. He's real, and can write a soothing romantic song to a girl. Not everything a Christian writes is about God.

Most of the longing you get for a lover, is actually a hole, instead, for the holy spirit to replace.

So the confusion comes from those who've never had the holy spirit and have been bought into the perversion of the culture.
