Great, yet another deformed turtle because it has not been kept properly. This shell deformity is either from improper diet, insufficient minerals and vitamsins, or, more likely, no full spectrum ultraviolet lighting.

How cute! I've 6 turtles of my own, only 2 of them are actually red-eared sliders though. Edward and Pistachio....I don't do well with names. Lol. -KP

umm its 10gals per inch of turtle...so for a 12 inch female ur looking at a 120 gal tank..and for males a 80 gal tank...and they get dirty....so a big tank would be a least 150+ and a canister filter which is another 150+...so its not cheap.. i have a hatchling(baby) and i spent over 200 dollars for its things..basking rock,heater,filter,basking lamp,uva,uvb,tank, foo,reptisafe,conditioner (sulfur block,...yeah lots of stuff....

i have 2 red eared sliders! they r so easy to take care of but they get rough sometimes i put them with my fish in like a 15 gallon tank..something like that..i got mine for 4 bucks but they r babys i didnt happen to buy one of these but plenty of my friends have and they r healthy and really act

A Red Eared Slider cannot live in a 15Gallon. They need 10 gallons for ever inch, so will eventually need a 120 gallon tank for an adult. They also need UVB lighting (5% or more UVB) and heating/filtration.

DO NOT BUY FROM TURTLESALE.COM, they are a sick practice. The best website I can recommend for help is www.turtletimes.com and www.turtlepimp.com for live animals.

You are very right..i have 4 turtles in big aquarium..very very cute but My, any more bigger, aquarium take necessary, and they have repti glo 05 uvb lighting ..I even have a video of them-;)
