I play Q.B. I'm 6' 4 214 pounds I use 30% legs 20% core and the rest is arm strength I have strong legs. I really want to know how to work on speed although I'm strictly a pocket passer I have patella alta how do I get a bigger teardrop muscle A.K.A. a Vastus medialis inner quad
most people think of having arm power when you play as a quaterback dont get me wrong its a good trait to have but u also need upper leg power and also your core i use my arms for short throws but most of my power with the long throws is all in the legs and core to help my arm explode with power
they have great footwork everything looked perfect but that quarterback that would go second has terrible technique when throwing the ball. after you throw the ball you are supposed to reach for your pocket that is wat a former college coach told because it is safer when you are about to get hit like that if you get blind sided after throwing the ball you wont mess up your shoulder the very important part for a quarterback
wow... my coach would not allow this to be considered a drill.. they dnt look like thy are hustling at all... look like thy dnt even wanna be there... i would not want them on my team... no heart... at least looks like it...
A good coaching point here is to make sure the players are over exaggerating the motions that they have to make, whether it is their plant foot or quick feet on their break downs No one moves at that pace in a game, so it is important to go slowly through it first, like they are doing here, but then get them going through a few times at full
speed with a rest time of approximately 4x the amount of time it took to complete the drill. if it takes 5 seconds, they will rest for 20 before next rep.

this is a prime how not to video. if you are going to let the qb throw the ball at least do it the right way, with the proper follow through. and some of theas drills a qb will never use in game sit so why do it.
Any footwork drill improves footwork. Just because you will not do that in a game situation does not mean its useless. Improving agility will adapt to game situations through the application of learned skills.
Then you could be a party of one. Frankly, such criticism shows, not only extreme levels of ignorance, but a complete lack of understanding of the QB position. Leading QB coaches across the country use these exact same drills. Awareness of the pocket, proximity to rushing DLmen, and ability to make quick feet help any Offensive back.
Your follow thru comment is ridiculous. FT is only for the QB to not injure the arm in real game situations. Once the ball is gone, FT is meaningless in gen.
