That depends on the consistancy of the paints. If you diulite the paints with water than the water will not stay separate and will blend together and make a new color. If you use them straight from the tube then you may be able to do it. The cake type of watercolor will not work.
The same principal applys to making petals by pushing and pulling your strokes no matter what type of paints you use. Hope this helps.
This demo is painted on watercolor paper. You should be able to paint this on canvas if the canvas has been sealed or gessoed. I have painted many times on canvas. Good luck to you and thank you for the nice compliment.
@kraftylady23 Thank you :) I am a studio art and art education major and I always thought "what do i want to focus on?" Well, I've been inspired and I think I found what I want to do..one stroke paintings!" I love flowers and I feel like if I learn this, I'll never stop."
Amazing!! Can you please explain me how to place the colours on the palette, and how to take them with the brush? Because I always make a mess :( I end up having just one colour :(
Hi, I bought your book today and then found this lovely video tonight. Both are lovely. Thanks for sharing so nicely.

Yes, I am using acrylic paints, I don't think you can do this with oil paints, as they are too thick to do this.

You're using acrylic paint right? Would you be able to do this using oil paints?

I'm having a very hard time with leaves - didn't know how to end the stroke - your video shows your hand and brush clearly. Easy to follow.
