  • this was a revolutionary form of music. a genuis indeed

  • Dayuuuuum - every jon't on "Talking Book" is out of control!!!!! - I remember my mother playing this album til the grooves melted........ beautiful, just beautiful. I am still moved by this man's music today as much as I was back in the day - when I would listen at 7, 8, 9 and 10 years old!!

  • tears cant describe the melody 1972 and i was born 1974 hold me back from my love dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm too classic

  • Two girls got it bad...

  • When this album came out in 72, we listened to songs in order of play..most of our minds were already blown away by "maybe your baby" and "you and i". Gaining composure after "tuesday heartbreak", this song comes along and leaves your breathless! That is the definition of classic which was this album and this exceptional song...number five on your vinyl and 8 track in 1972! Hearing it after these 39 years, I am proud to have known this pure and perfect song was a treasure then as it still is now

  • LOVEMAKING ALL ONTOP OF EVERY MATTRESS. MADE JACK A BETTER LOVER.

  • Omar is the only cat in today's music that comes close to the synth work of Stevie.

  • I have always wanted to see the creative process of my favourite artists. Stevie and this track, would be the first!

  • om'

    mas

    keith

    brought

    me

    here

  • Without looking at the liner notes I would know the sound of that sax anywhere. Jesus Christ who the hell hasn't David Sanborn played on? Just like Benmont Tench and Mike Cambell from Tom Petty's Heartbreakers they pop up everywhere.

  • A musical genius..... That's all...

  • I really love this song

  • The master of musical expression...no emotion is left untoched by Mr. Wonder.

  • @jooks223

    Well said.

  • A legend...cubed......

  • i have this album.

  • @ImhotepRamses ur lucky im going to bu mine on itunes

  • Stevie was on some higher consciousness shit, man. He opened up his mind and really let his soul come out for this album and many others. My favorite of all is Village ghetto land, from the Songs in the key of life album.

  • I got it bad

  • @MsBriteEyes I created a video for this song...hope you get a chance to check it out and enjoy it!!! Stay Blessed!!!! I just felt that "You've Got It Bad Girl" should've had a video created!!!!

  • @Warrenb0820 ....Thanks

  • @MrMilesdav yes i agree with you it's my favorite too

  • just love love this track of Stevie's takes me back to when he released this album, n i was living in London then.

  • This song is awesome and off one of the best albums made. This really showcased Stevie and serveral other major artists in the industry. I remembered growing up and listening to these songs over and over again after it's release. Superstition is an ass kicking jam as one of my friends puts it! But this record had so much more than that or Sunshine of My Life and this song proves it.

  • @Soulman785 I created a video for this song...hope you get a chance to check it out and enjoy it!!! Stay Blessed!!!! I just felt that "You've Got It Bad Girl" should've had a video created!!!!

  • @Warrenb0820, thanks for the video link! I love that song and you're right, it really does deserve it's own video. Great Job!

  • @Warrenb0820 Unfortunately, they didn't do videoes back in the day. But I agree with you. There should be a vid made to this song.

  • This is my FAVORITE Stevie Wonder song!!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this damn song...Stevie Wonder was the king of soul from 1971 to 1976...

  • Stevie sure knew how to put together a cast of background supporting singers. His guests probably felt right at home during recording. Stevie's a great musical host!

  • @SuperGamer87

You are so right....Their voices were amazing. This has to be my favorite song off of this album.

  • umm... so I love this song.... i'm thinking of performing it soon!!!

  • @delledean2020 If you do this song, please show it the respect that a song by Stevie Wonder deserves. Don't do this stupid playing of one part of this over and over for 5 to 6 minutes with bogus lyrics.

  • @IRONMANHONDO87 NO worries! It is only for private use!!!! I just like the sound of the song and I could never change the song!!!! I DON'T want to! I love it the way it is!

  • Growing up in Detroit i would listen to the radio for hours waiting to hear a Stevie song... And now as an adult I cant stay off You Tube seaching for the videos I am trully an avid Stevie Wonder fan...

  • It was so nice to have Stevie come out with this album, back then - after the Civil Rights Act was passed, and Black Pride was a new attitude in America - then Wonder took it back to Mother Africa, brought jazz stylings into pop, and created a totally new music - this sound was all completely new, amazingly lovely, dreamy & romantic & smart -- EWF did the same - a real Black Renaissance in America, a great time in history (:^D

  • I thought I was a Stevie Wonder fan until I listened to "Music of My Mind" alll the way to "Hotter Than July" My life has changed forever.

Somebody tell me how to stop listening to Stevie because it's bordering obsession!

    Peace

  • another track dat has been beautifully made

  • MY AUNT HAD THIS ON A 45 RECORD AND I PLAYED THIS SONG TO THE POINT OF SKIPPING SO NOW I NEED TO DOWNLOAD IT

  • India.Arie sang it best on her debut...Stevie beautiful, Stevie powerful, Stevie WONDERFUL!!! And whoever can't acknowledge this man's immense genius, they've got it bad!

  • But when you can find just a small space

to let my love move in your mind...

  • @MarieBe710 .... to let my love Live in your mind, then you'll have it good....

  • that applies to almost all Stevie

  • Just heard this song tonite and said to myself, "i gotsta save this to my YouTube playlist, so's I can take this song to the head". Just so smooth, fell in love with it right there! Stevie was more right then rain with this song;)

  • Thx Cornerstone1019. Stevie's generation had a reason to make "angry" music, because of the struggles back then, BUT THEY DIDN'T! They sang about love & peace in 7-10 mins. No cursing or degrating. Alot of today's music is only 2-3 mins. & shameful. Remember when the Isley Bros. said that 1 curse in "Fight The Power"? That was a big deal. Compare that to the cursing and degrating lyrics in today's music. As Marvin said, "Makes you want to holla". Music should make you dance & feel good.

  • @luvspeace1 The people who buy "today's music" do dance and feel good to it. They just don't listen to the lyrics.

  • Stevie is the 8th Wonder of the World. This jam is 38 yrs old and sounds just as sexy today. Thx Stevie for 1 of a million timeless classic songs from you.

  • Luvspeace1..I couldn't of said it better. well said!

  • Love this album! <3

  • This song is Beauty....Beauty in every angle, every length....what a Breath of fresh air.

  • love the back round vocals!

  • @RaceIsOpen

I was just thinking the exact same thing. The vocal arrangements are very creative and taps richly into the rhythm of the song. Stevie was always creative. I'm inspired by this work in so many ways.

  • this is wild! the album was hot...I remember it as a kid, not plays it as an adult. Very deep, sincere lyrics and love stevie's trademark bass pitch bends! hot!

Stevie's music is so timeless that it reflects the karma of life! ... No matter what the decade is of his music, you can turn some stevie on and it sounds and feels just like new! ... all over again. This man has a song for everyday, every moment and every situation we go through. No doubt a stevie song will either encourage you and keep you happy through a great time or keep you calm and collected through a sad and down time. TRULY A GENIUS!
