  • Mine looks just like that, except i have a spoiler on the back

  • What a beautiful car! Bill Mitchell was really on a roll when he designed this line for GM. Another of his creations, the Corvette Stingray, was also introduced and sold to the public in '63.

My Dad bought my Mom a '63 Riviera that year, cream white with tan leather seats. I remember saying at the time, "They can't make a car any more luxurious than this!" Just a beautiful, classic design! Thanks for the video!

  • just like ours we used to have accept with black interior

  • Great car.. great video. Thanks.

  • The late Dusty Springfield had a 1964 Riviera much the this one in color

  • My grandad had the '63 in the medium blue. i don't know what kinda engine, but after the car hit 55 mph, it started making noise, a clicking noise, don't know what it was. When he sold it in 77, he got a vega station wagon in trade. Grandma never let him live that one down

  • I'v been watching n loving cars since a kid ithe mid fifties. The 63 Riv is one of the top 5 best looking cars of the last 50 years. maybe no 1

  • no way 63 is by far the best year

  • Trade you my 91 rivi ha! I dont know if ill ever drive any other car but a riviera

  • A big black 74 Riviera is 10x better than this.

  • no its not... sorry bud. I own a 63 just like this in Glacier Blue- FABULOUS

  • I totally agree with you ctronjock, a 63 Riv is WAY better than the later "boat tail" Rivs. Lot's of people like the 65's best, and I used too, but I now like the exposed headlights of 63-4 better. Also, the styling was ahead of it's time in 63...by 65 the other makers were starting to catch up.

Hey what's the value of a car like this in good (-2 or +3 ) condition? I might trade off some of my old cars....

  • @jjpeterson1 mid seventies an older suck dick, low compression, heavy, ugly barges. 60's is all about class and the combination of style with performance. ex: my 69 toronado sure as hell is a better car than a toronado of 1974, or even 71 for that matter.

  • @69acoustic69 the 63 is very attractive, I just like the 70s because it's the coolest decade.

  • I own a 63 too, and would like to play this music as I drive it along the CT coast.

  • and the music is by?

  • yo how much did you sell it for ...im just wondering scince riviera's are pretty high in price range..the lowest i've seen is about 50 thousand..they are a good brand and i love em all

  • I sold it for $ 6500 and regret that I sold it at all. I must add though, that I bought it myself for $ 3800 on a military base.

  • Love the music too. Great choice- what/who is it?

  • beautiful!!!!!!

  • very good!!! beautiful car!!! I have a red!!!

  • Great car, and a very nice music, the interior was far ahead for its time ! I just think the tail light would look nicer if it was a litle larger...

  • THIS is how new Buicks should look, not like wannabe a Lexus!

  • there was a red one, 63 i think in my hometown when i was a kid. i wanted that damn car so bad!! it wound up in the junkyard eventually. sad.

  • Beautiful machine. Was it packing a 401 Nailhead or one of the 425s?

  • What's the name of the song????

  • Modern Jazz Quartett - Topsy: This one's for Basie

  • Wow! I was 4 years old and the first car I remember was my parent's '63! It was powder blue and slick! My dad said it won a lot of styling awards that year. Long live the Buick Riviera and Bossa Nova!!

  • actually this was more of Jazz style than Bossa Nova

  • Duh! LOL I know Bossa Nova! I was just stating the fact that I remember....my dad's Buick Riviera and Bossa Nova. Brazil 66... Sergio Mendez...Stan Getz...you know. It's cool!

  • lol ... I was conceived in the Rivera ... a Buick Riviera.

  • Looks almost like a 60's British Leyland styling from the front. Wonder if they 'borrowed' some styling cues.

  • Love Rivieras, I had a '65 with a portable turntable in it!

  • Wow, but how would you play the turntable while riding?

  • LOL....not very good at all...I think you just had to use it while parked. I took it out and sold it for $75 at the Pomona Swap Meet.

  • man this riv is awesome... and looks very mint!

  • Most beautiful Buick ever !

  • the '63 was good for about 130 mph. I had a '67, and it'd do 130, too. 0-60 in around 7 seconds. not bad for a 4,400 lb car.

  • love the 63"s!!!thanks for the video!!

  • Every once in a while I regret that I sold it ...

  • @UTAHnmaz i know htat feeling. ive sold one myself. was 100% stock. one of the better cars that ive owned. i stlil MISS that car ALOT

  • love the 63's!!thanks for the video

  • beautiful ride!

very fitting jazz tunes as well, who's that on the vibraphone, Lionel Hampton?

  • This is a rare to find title from Modern Jazz Quartet. Milt Jackson on the vibraphone.

  • "This one's for Topsy" Milt Jackson on the vibs.

  • nothing beats a klassik!

  • I like all rivs. But these first bodystyles always impressed me as far as looking like a classic grannies car, and also a hotrod look combined. Kinda like a grannies GTO. And we know up until about 1974 they all run like hotrods regardless of their looks. Didn't really get hot again till the 90s. Only acception might be a lighter weight 77 with Olds 403.

  • i own a 71 boat tail...but DAMN, i love the 63 riv!!!!!

  • How about delivery to Alaska?

  • awesome ride!
