Left Alone kicks ass they are 4m the South Bay area i believe and if you lived out here you would know LA county has a huge SKA scene so of course this band had to come out and represent both ska/punk from South-Cal.

I think they are both as good as another. You are correct, their music is very similar. Though Rancid is known because their songs have been put in to Tony Hawk games and they have been in music buisness from 90's to this day. The only thing different about them is that you can sing along with Left Alones songs, but when you try Rancid... Yeah let's not talk about that :D
