A lot of people want to believe in Scientology because it offers an easy answer to what is in fact a complex problem. No one wants to deal with chemical imbalances, mental trauma, and other such subtle variances, when its easier to hold onto two cans, watch a needle move, and go "yep, there's my problem".
u know whats funny..on St Pats day local radio was in Dublin askin locals what there fav band was..and the 1st 3 they asked said Tin Lizzie (brogue please) and the DJ was dumbfounded thinkin God errr Bono and U2 would be the 1st out o their mouths,,,,lmao,,,,,,,,
Had the honour of seeing Lizzy on this tour in Glasgow....My ears were ringing for a week! Seen too many since and nothing compares. Eternally out here! Thank you for the experience xxxx
God, I wish they would've never got a keyboard player, or at least got one that only played here and there. Can't stand to here keyboards on guitar driven tracks like this one.
Lately I've been digging this song. That riff is cool. I kinda think it didn't chart well because... to be honest... um, Phil's lyrics are pretty naff here. Seriously, they lack the effort. I think that's what's kind of wrong with Renegade & Chinatown: too many drugs, meaning not much effort. Both records have awesome ideas, but lack direction and fall pretty flat compared to Black Rose. Also I think Tony Visconti's production on Black Rose & Bad Reputation was sorely missed for Chinatown on.
Been a Lizzy fan for years ever since Nightlife. The way they evolved musically from the 70's to the 80's was nothing less than phenomenal and I agree with jojo it really is a shame that they're known for their '1 or 2 hits.'
great song by lizzy , even though this song is gret its not really famous , people like his more poetic songs but for me ill just keep listening to all his stuff
I don't know man, I get this song stuck in my head and I find myself singing along to the chorus of this song a lot more than the others :P. "Got to Give it up" and "The sun goes down" are also songs that get stuck in my head a lot!
these new videos beat all the rest on youtube thanks so much your the king! but i have a feeling viacom will take these off they take kick ass videos off like this all the time like when they took off the cowboy song outake from the live and dangerous video twice!
Johnny,Rocky,Borderline and how about The title track which kinda has hip hop flavor about twenty years ahead of it's time.
Phil and the boys ahead of thier time? get out of here!
Once again another reason why Thin Lizzy needs to be elected to the american rock and roll hall of fame, they've influence as many great bands as anyone.
Without that influence they'd probably still be a garage band. Love you Phil and the boys!! Pete
Yeah rock! Lizzy wad at it´s best at this time. Renegade and chinatpwn really was Lizzy´s best albums. And i wonder why those aren´t being appreciated?
After the song 'jailbreak' lynott spent a lot of his career trying to write a riff as good as that one. Here he has another valliant attempt. Why this didn't get higher than no.50 in the UK chart, i will never know.Must've been poor marketing.

I like em' all but, to me, Robbo and Scot was the best era, as far as playing together and complimenting each other.
