this one is almost identical to the r6 just check out the front fairings its r6 and the body is a mix of honda cbr n yamaha r6/r1...

This is actually the first time in design history that european designers copied a asian design. Most of the time its the other way around. The influence of the Japanese superbike design is obvious. German precision with a good design...well lets just say :"Japan, watch out"!

thw s1000rr has just gone up in price £350 so it is now £12850 and £13000 plus in the sport colours,i was lucky i got mine ordered before the price increase.....2 weeks to go till delivery.....

lol fuck the looks bro the only thing is the front but the tech is mad crazy plus the front was build like that on purpose its for the air intank wich bumps it up to 7hp making it 200hp thats a beast of a bike lol

acctually yes, it's bmw's first super sport bike, but remeber they have been bulding motorcycles for over 86 years. I think the s1000rr will be the winner on every liter bike shootout in 2010...

Looks good but it's too Japanesey. Which is not necessarily bad, but considering that Japanese designs found a new theme, this BMW looks like it belongs with the '04/'05 group of bikes.

Just because two things share something in common doesn't necessarily mean they're related in absolute forms.

Yeah if the topic we were discussing had been about transports in general, cars and bikes can be compared.

But the topic here is strictly about bikes, namely this BMW S1000RR.

Cats have 4 legs, so do dogs. But it wouldn't make sense to go to a video about dogs and comment about cats.

as far as the argument what i meant was honda cars look a lot like bmw cars so it shouldnt matter if bmw bikes look like honda bikes. so the comparison i was talking about is between bmw and honda not cars n bikes, guess i should have been more clear any way peace

We're not talking about which manufacturer is the worse copier than the other. Dude I'm just talking about this bike and that's it. I don't care about any other BMW/HONDA products. I'm saying this S1000RR doesn't have that distinct European look. If you've been around bikes all your life like I have you probably know what I'm talking about... maybe in styling it does, but in technological gadgets it's better and more advanced then 2010 japanese sportbikes...besides, IMHO all 4 2005 japanese literbikes are better looking then the 09s...but that again is just my point of view bro.
