  • Dingers Forever....my blood go forth and i see banba alas banba needles but the soul of poor young girl dives in and thrives in!

  • Sublime.

  • j adore tout simplement

    que dire d autres

rien d autres que du superflus

  • Maaaaan... Grace/Wastelands is just so wonderful! And in 15 Days I will meet Pete in Munich, he presents his album: Grace/Wastelands at this concert!!!!! I can't believe it that I will see him live :)

  • Just like floating in a dream... beautiful & magic!

  • Fucking magic.

  • great pictures

  • Always have this one when I'm revising - I'm doing poetry in English and one of the poems is Salome by Carol Ann Duffy. This song and the poem fit nicely together.

  • @ciaracustard I saw Carol Ann Duffy Live, reading her poems and whatnot, she's god awful. Take it you're doing your GCSE's.. poor basturd.

  • @everythingswonderful I really like her myself. I would love to see her.

  • @ciaracustard Havisham and Education for Leisure are really very good, but seeing her live just ruined her for me, she just drones them out with no emotion or passion for them, she could of been calling for the register or something.

  • @everythingswonderful That's a shame. I've had the same thing when I've heard authors read their own work. Sometimes it's better not to.

  • Je m'appelle Salomé et ce prénom ne m'a pas toujours bien plu mais la j'en suis très fiere :) Peter <3

  • JE VEUX M APPELLER SALOME !

  • song is very cool, but the lyrics are rather shallow, anyone noticed?

  • @fetta666 Think this song id borrowed from Wilde who was a decadent and wrote about the pleasure of the body and beauty and 'art for arts' sake and all that jazz so to speak, so I don't think it would be strange to find a song influenced from the decadent trend shallow.

  • Magique <3

  • she the fire i light to warm my bones, iv had enough of the dreadful cold

  • when i first swa the cover of the album i remembered an illustration of aubrey beardsley, which is in the book of oscar wildes salome.

great illustration, great piece of literary and a great song!

  • FUCK THIS!

THE REAL PETE DOHERTY IS THE "DUKE OF DORCHESTER".

  • @asmorgan88 They're two incredibly different people. How on Earth can you compare the lead singer of The Libertines to a wrestler?

  • this song is downright delicious, pete doherty is a genious

  • The 2nd verse,"In the morning, shaken and disturbed, from under soft, white fur, I see the dust in the morning bright, sets the room alight." I love how Peter takes a scene we have all experienced: Dust particles suspended in sunlight--and with his poet's soul and artist's eye celebrates this simple, lovely moment in lyric and song. He so manages to set the scene with the magic of that description. Thank you, Peter for taking a universal experience and appreciating it's merit as wondrous.

  • Hi,

I really love the first picture you choose (looks like Klimt). Do you know where I can find it? It's for a little girl named Salome.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Pete's first solo album is a complete triumph. This song is devastatingly beautiful. Yeats, Verlaine, Dickens, Docherty. God save Arcadia.

  • May I compliment you on such a fine, professional, video.

  • Magical!! How does this guy not get seen as what he is, one of the greatest artists ever!! Look past the leeching media and listen 2 his music!! Love u pete. X

  • Beautiful song and video.

  • wish it wouldn´t end at 3:17 ... could listen to it forever ...

  • Hermoso el disco, acabamos de comprarlo. Genial, hermoso.

    Qué buen artista, este Pete.

  • You did a superb job of choosing the art to accompany this! Thank you.

  • beautifulll

  • Ah, I see the Joyce reference. Isadora.

  • Es una hermosa cancion...

  • My favorite song from this great album !

  • Guess, Oscar Wilde would have liked that song!

  • I may be completely off the ball but the first time I heard this I assumed that it was all about the crack pipe. Lighting the fire to get out of the dreadful cold and being seduced by what comes out of it but with the horrible repercussions. Obviously I know the story and the wilde play but I got the feeling that was petes spin on it.

  • maybe man

  • i felt the same about it. the light, the white fur, dust. Salome as the kick that you get when you smoke.

  • its actually how he felt at home alone freezin at xmas in his crazy big country house i think in wiltshire ? alone & sad an yes ofcorse piped up but salome isnt the kick as u put it. if u rese4arch who an wat she is an did u ll get it. :)

  • @whiplashchild ....also a wqhore and the daughter of Herodias, and the name also means peace lol

  • Such an elegant song!

  • I really love this song and I can listen to this cd every day and never tire of it.

  • DARE

  • This is a lovely video. For a soft song Salome is hard rocking. Think it's the best Love song I ever heard.

    Arthur Lee RIP

  • still writing masterpieces at the age of 30. can anyone think of anyone who writes songs like this today? Not Noel Gallagher thats for sure.

  • did noel ever write songs like THIS? firstly: very few noel gallaghe songs have lyrics that mean anything at all, let alone have litrery referances, secondly, they don't have jazz chords. regardless of whether or not this is a gd song, noel never wrote songs like this. o, and alex turner's acoustic songs are as gd as this

  • @kolokotronis85 yeah its great and yeah he istill crating masterpieces but this is an oldschool tune...years old.

  • @adamspun omg thought this was ballad of grimaldi soz ignore me haha

  • @kolokotronis85

why "still" at 30? the older you get the wiser you get. not only young people can make beautiful art.

  • @kolokotronis85 bob dylan?

  • @Tbagged0909 I don't think so.

  • Some of the pictures are Aubrey Beardsley's ones...

    They're just marvellous.

  • Yh they are magnifique. Very decadent and japanese like. The play is amazing, i read it and was entranced.

  • beautiful song, beatiful lyrics, beautiful poet. and brilliant live!

  • Beautifull comment, lol. All true :)

  • I love Pete Doherty.

  • b-e-a-utiful
