I don't know who would have won, but boxing is about styles so you can't say because tyson beat bruno easier then he was the better fighter. Lewis, for example, knocked out Ruddock in 2 (something Tyson never did in 24 rounds), then knocked out golata in 1 round (tyson took many), and Botha in 2 (tyson took 10 and tried to break his arm). Why do most American boxing fans hate Lewis and Calzaghe. Two of boxing's all time greats. I'm British and they are two of my favourite fighters along with Carl Froch, who will probably go down as another all-time great if he wins the super six series. But, I recognize that there are plenty of all- time great American fighters, Muhammed Ali, Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Evander Holyfield, Floyd Mayweather jr, and they are all up there, you can't rubbish their claims just because of nationality.

Regardless of how great he was or could be there was always one MAJOR flaw that would stop him winning fights against other great fighters. That was mental weakness. He didn't like getting hit back. He never came from behind in a really hard fight to win. He quit against Holyfield, Williams and McBride. Tyson was great but he had no heart.

Lewis turned pro in 1989 after his Olympic win over Bowe. He was then challenging for the European title in 1990 just over a year after turning pro. He then beat unbeaten Gary Mason for the British title in his next fight. Frank Bruno was retired during this time. Lewis called Bruno out at every oppurtunity and Bruno didn't want to know till there was a world title on the line. Then just over 3 years after turning pro Lewis was matched with Ruddock and destroyed him.

I don't know who would have won, but boxing is about styles so you can't say because tyson beat bruno easier then he was the better fighter. Lewis, for example, knocked out Ruddock in 2 (something Tyson never did in 24 rounds), then knocked out golata in 1 round (tyson took many), and Botha in 2 (tyson took 10 and tried to break his arm). I agree it would be better for them to fight in their primes, but Tyson and Bowe ducked Lewis because they were terrified of him.

Tysons in my top ten for heavyweights still but he could not beat holyfield and lennox im sorry not happening theyre both above him skillwise and stats wise. Razor rudduck was the only decent fighter tyson fought and razor took him the distance and had him hurt in round 10 Lewis killed rudduck inside 2 rounds keep in mind lewis aint a brawler hes a boxer a guy whose 6 5 250 pounds and is able to have that kind of composure and hold the technical skill its no wonder to me that bowe and tyson and holyfield were afraid of him.

Yeah but there was buzz about that fight and rumors spread. Everything from McCall was on drugs, to he received death threats if he won. That followed a few fights with Lewis cause it was said Don King set those up to get his hands on Lennox. But bottom line was poor sportsmanship and a farce of fights to follow.
