  • Thank-You for posting Michael A. <3 xo

  • Doo Wop is the best!

  • I think these guys were from Staten Island. Man they were Good!

  • i wish i was born during the old times

  • I don't mean to sound like all the little kids that post how young they are, but I was born in 1993, and all i listen to is early rock and roll. I was listening to Doo wop and Buddy holly in the 90s when everyone was listening to crap, and todays junk is even worse. its a shame the oldie stations don't play tunes like this anymore. This music is timeless and gives you chills down your spine no matter how many times you hear it. Rock and roll will never die, daddy-o.

  • @classiccarguy93 Well well, I'm 62 and glad to hear contemporary people can see how they can appreciate some music artistry. The '50's had it.

  • It's a damned shame that the Beatles started the British Invasion that ended the 1895-1965 Golden Age of American music and pushed classic rock, rockabilly, R&B, and Doo Wop, as well as 70 years of Jazz and the Great American Songbook to the fringes of popular music. I'm glad I was born in 1941 and not 1991, because that generation, especially, is fucked every which way. I'll never forgive the Baby Boomers for squandering the economic, political, and artistic legacy of the Greatest Generation.

  • I remember listening to this on the car radio of my 51 ford while parked down at the lighthouse "watching the submarine races"

  • Hey Pietro , what a great old Do-Wop. I'm listening to "There's A Moon Out Tonight" Love it Bro!...I'm listening...Cap...

  • i fuckn shllooove this song :)

  • i remember listening to this in my 55 chevy parked next to the lake with my girl, then flyin over vietnam

  • This was my favorite song in my senior year in high school(1961). What a great era for music. Wouldn't trade it for any other era!!! I guess I'm beginning to sound old!!

  • @doowopjim1 Nah just very lucky!

  • Reminds me of taking eveing walks with my 6th grade crush..I hope he felt the same we were romantics!

  • @OldiebutGoodieGal i''ll take a walk with lol im only 68

  • WOW What memories in my BFs car overlooking the ocean. All the lights of LA. Damn thank God I grew up in the 60s

  • A cool autumn saturday night in 1959; high on a cliff overlooking the city; in your convertible chevy with your girlfriend. What else could you do when this tune played on the radio but "neck".

  • God is this incredible song or what?

  • The ending to this song is the greatest in history. Period.

  • @ghb61....Yes, the writers knew how to close a song.

  • This music makes me glad I was born then..Getting old now but I can still kick it with the best

Just because theres snow on the roof, doesn't mean theres no fire in the stove...Know what I mean ?

  • i love this song! :)

  • God Please Bring Muzic Like This Back PLZZZZZZZ And They Style

  • I Wish I Was Born In that Time (Im 14) I Loooooove There Style

  • You know what's weird when I grew up in 1950s, I never heard another kid say, I'M BORED. LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL.

  • @kskk9368 no you know whats weird that all of the girls ive had ive wanted one who loves doo-wop, oldies , or 1950's rock and roll

  • I wish times were still like this, filled with this wonderful romantic music, dances and just time think about what was truly meaningful in life.. where did the meaning of simplicity go?? i think it stayed back in the 50's and 60's... now all we have is ipods, dirty junk on tv and movies and some kid named Justin Bieber.. and don't forget vampires...

  • @Silvyaaaaful i agree lol i can see my self in the 1960's driving down the boulevard. in a cherry red mustang!

  • This was almost an anthem for those that had girlfriends in the early to mid sixties..This song resonates a time when romance was key and times were slower, not as confusing..When this country was this COUNTRY.

  • Must've been amazing to grow up in the fifties :) i got screwed -.-

  • Yes to both. And you forgot consumption of vast amounts of alcohol. And it was great!!!!

  • Umm, wasn't this also when teen smoking was more popular and illegal car racing was everywhere.

  • i love these songs

  • As a particular song style Doo-wop was THE BEST.

  • this song reminds me of the time that i played this song out loud in my house,i heard a knock at the door i thought it was a cop it was just the neighbor asking me what was the song called haha

  • im 24 and have been listening to oldies since I was basically a little kid, thanks to my dad. These songs still give me goosebumps.

  • OMG...innocent love..i wish i was able to live back in the 50's 60's....wow the musis and everything was so beautiful!

  • to any of the folks on here born in the fifties during this great period of music you dont know how lucky you were

  • This song reminds me of the time when we were simple and loved it. When we treated each other and ourselves with respect because we saw great value in simple things and didn't just skim through life missing all that is important.

  • this is one for the sex mix...l.

  • God this song is GREAT!!!!!!

  • Wow we went from this to 50 cent etc… this country needs a restart button badly.

  • @NEMESIS12389 hahaha 50cent has his place too--but this music was so damn much fun but so were the times for most of us.

  • @NEMESIS12389...Fitty-Cent can sure tear at your heartstrings with his romantic ballads, huh?...

  • @ronetteloverz Well sure he does, I'm mean what woman's heart doesn't melt when you call her a bitch whore and tell her to to blow you.

  • @NEMESIS12389 why give this country a restart button 0.0 means they get to do all the horrible shit they did in the past again

  • @baiwal Why the hell do all my comments get the most likes? I don't know but at least if we restarted I could live the good old days, and skip this shit out today. I want the days when women actually wore a dress and men a suit, then they danced like human beings. Now a days they dry hump in daisy dukes and pants falling off their ass, have sex in a public bathroom, then end up on Maury for a DNA test then go home and live off of welfare checks. Funny thing I'm only 23 and hate my gen.

  • @NEMESIS12389 lol

  • We were just young God bless youth

  • this is a great autumn song . picture this you just get back to school after a great summer.. a little fall in the air,, and your sitting in class for the first time and you get the scents of the girls perfume and in walks a drop dead gorgeous chick that you've never seen before and your eyes lock and you draw her to the seat right next to you. she smiles at you sweet and sexy as she sits down. everything in you is racing and you have to take a deep breath and look out the open window ,exhale

  • Oldies are the way to go when it comes to quality. The singers didnt need autotune, they actually used instruments, and their themes were innocent and pure. Today we have people with no talent depending on autotune to mask their voices, computerized beats in what seems every song, and "artist" talking about sex and describing women as objects when they're recording a "love song". Oldies are the complete opposite. This coming from a teen.

  • @5lui5 True, but if you want to get a real sense of how good this music was, listen to these groups do songs acapella. Their voices WERE the instruments and their harmonies were natural without the help of any technology. It is awesome!!!

  • I WISH I WAS BACK THERE N THESE DAYS... I LOVE DIS SONG..

  • everytime i hear this song it takes me back to when i asked my wife to marry we were in my 56 chevy bel-air convertible

  • Brings back memories of slow dancing in the gym...yes indeed--waaay back in the day! As a 15 yr old, I loved this song & had a mad crush on a guy (but eventually broke off the engagement...young love ;>)

  • i am 12 and balck. some of you all are like what kind of balck kid r u l;istining 2 60's music ?. im greatful to haveparents that expose me to this kind of music and i feel bad for the kids rhat dont have such parents as me .

  • @ilove80spop I'm black too and I like all kinds of music I'm not "supposed" to like...according to my black "friends" in high school. Frank Sinatra, Aerosmith, the B-52's, the Beatles, all kinds of oldies...good music is good music no matter who sings it! So don't let anyone dictate what you should like or listen to. You do you, and let them do them.

  • the begining always gives me goosebumps!

  • thumbs up if your listening to this in 2011 and thinking how cool it would have been to be in a doo wop band

  • Comment removed

  • The 50s were such great times, economically and socially. If we had the racial views we have now, and the culture of the 50s today, we would be a perfect country

  • jet li the one

  • damn who ever grew up listening to this, I envy you all so much -.-

I was definitely born in the WRONG generation.

  • @TheCaptainMarz my thoughts as well, so did I. I was born in 58 so too young to be a teen during this age, I love the respect we have lost

  • @TheCaptainMarz I'm so thankful I grew up with the Oldie music, drive in movies, drive ins with car hops, dances and more dances and of course those unforgettable boyf riends that you will never ever forget

  • @TheCaptainMarz same here

  • @TheCaptainMarz this is exactly the way i feel... :,(

  • @TheCaptainMarz

I know just how you feel. I hate the thought of giving up my 45s and LPs for one of those pod-things!

  • @TheCaptainMarz i cant agree moer i fell stuck in the future...the only thing i would miss is my i pod...im only 14

  • yourbroham's playlist made me look this up.

  • This was my favorite song during my senior year in high school(1961). I remember dancing to it on Bandstand the only time ZI was able to get in the show!!!!

  • happy birthday SierraNQ. Wishing you health wealth and happiness xxx

  • sounds like Donna by Ritchie Valens @ 1:01

  • The best ending to any song ever made.

  • NiCE!!!

  • Strange how many "15" year olds are listening to oldies. Wonder it they're all really 15? I had a brand new 1963 Plymouth Fury convertible and cruising around at night with the top down, this was the perfect song, a perfect car, and a perfect era..

  • @smokingolejerry I dunno how many 15 year olds, but I am 14..Haaah

  • @smokingolejerry im 30 and i listen to this music since i was a kid. 63 Fury was it a push button automatic?? New crap is junk and always will be. rock on!!!

  • @woodzo40 63 Plymouth Fury w/ " Torqueflite" transmission (push button panel located on upper left hand side of dashboard) drove a few in my time.

  • @jeffsor47 cool. 63=65 Plymouths are cool. Love 413 max wedges.

  • @woodzo40 Push button "Torque Flite" transmission

  • <3 awesome!

  • my favorite DooWop song of all time!

  • said this before - but very true when we have young "listeners" -- you can hear and understand the words!! these songs meant something -- and still do --

  • SierraNarniaQueen - Happy belated birthday, Sweet 16! What a great time in your young life! Live it to the hilt! I will always believe that the 50s and the 60s were not only the greatest decades for music, but also for TV. We had so much to do outdoors, too, and we were outside almost 24/7! Sometimes, I think that the world is getting too technologically advanced! We all need to slow down and enjoy!

  • For those of us who lived and experienced these times, it always will be missed. And to those who knew cruzin' Harveys Broiler (and other drive-ins), listening to this music (played by DJs like Hunter Hancock, Art Laboe and others) I say: "The music keeps these times alive".

  • @HarveysBroiler Don't forget crusin Hawthorne blvd to A&W Root Beer (Hawthorne) or WitchStand on Slauson (west of La Brea ) circa 1963-67

  • @HarveysBroiler As you may know, they tore down Harveys. The Wichstand (Slauson & Overhill) will soon be torn down as well. Fosters is still there I think at 120th & Hawthorne Bl. in Hawthorne Ca( the inspiration for Beach Boys "Fun Fun Fun"). Todays kids will never have any idea what the 60's (or any other time) car culture was like, too many distractions for them today .Also, Western ave. & El Segundo Bl. L.A. at Scribners Drive In, Singers there to sign autographs for new release

  • VINNY NACARATTO IS MY UNCLE, BITCHES

  • SierraNarniaQueen: you have great taste in music...yes, this music is from the greatest era!! And I am thrilled that I was growing up in that era! Oldies will live on forever!!

  • @fatbowe Yes my friend those were the days! getting gears in a 1963 chevy 409 racing at Maple Grove Racway in Reading, going to the movies at Reading Pa. Going to the school dances. Dad i love you. And i also love this music!

    - Liverstar

  • WONDERFUL MUSIC.

  • @SierraNarniaQueen ~ Great Post. I am a product of the 60's (I was 13 in 1960) and although I would never ever put down any generation because I understand how special youth is and how individuals relate to "their" time in life, I must tell you how much I treasured those years in the 60's; the music, the friends, the pace of life, the politics ~ all of it. It WAS beautiful and so special too. I can only hope that the next few years of your life are as memorable as were the 60's for me.

  • Any one remember the pink elephant ,adam & eve and shades ?

  • Unbelievable sound.

  • Recorded Feb 27,1961, Nick Santamaria (Santos) was 20 and the lead singer. All of the members of the Capris were from Queens.

  • ahh those weere thedays

  • @frb223 It's true. Music like this takes me right back to my teen years.

  • @frb223 Yes, indeed.

  • They just don't make songs like this anymore. these were perfect for the last song at the dances. thanks for the walk down memory lane.

  • Great song!!..listening takes me back to 10th grade english and this girl who really liked this song..talked about it all the time..why would I remember that? lol

  • Music like this should be required in grades K through 12.

    I Cr 13:8a

  • DAMN i am so glad to find this song! so lucky i found it from the Temptations movie! <3 xD

  • Oh my, I have to listen to this song! I am only 15 years old, I will be turning 16 on July 23rd this month! I think it's beautiful how the people who lived in the 40's 50's and early 60's with this music, it's so awesome HOW THEY HAVE YOUTUBE ACCOUNTS!!!!!!! They say time then was so amazing, aghhh I wish I lived then to experience it would be so wonderful! God created them in that time era and they say amazing! ;D !! I find it beautiful!

  • @SierraNarniaQueen I wish there were more young people in our country like you. Maybe it would be a better place. Keep up your Love and don't let anyone change you. GOoD Luck in your future. Roger in Burnet, Tx

  • @SierraNarniaQueen For one so young, you are very perceptive, It was a different time, a different world, and a different innocents.

  • @SierraNarniaQueen Happy Birthday!

  • @SierraNarniaQueen Happy birthday from me too. Did you play Sixteen Candles on your 16th birthday?

  • @SierraNarniaQueen

wow thats sounds like you are going to like some great old tunes.. nice comment,, take care...

  • @SierraNarniaQueen During the 50's and 60's I loved the music, was just a kid who took my radio everywhere, even in school with a earphone, told the teacher I was listening to the then popular space race.

  • great sounds from my teen years, it seems the country now sounds like rock from the 70' and 80's. Never....NEVER again will there be sounds like our DOO WOP of the 50's.

  • @ronKY40216 Agreed.

  • @ronKY40216 interesting comment.never is a long time.maybe, just maybe we can regress to a simpler time and it's dancing slow tunes.the economy has gone back to the 50's so why not some attitudes as well?

  • Don't know how you equate today's economy with the economy of the 50s. We would be in great shape if that were true. Compare the national debt then and now. Put as for our music back then, it was even more magnificent than we imagined at the time. "There's a Moon Out Tonight" may have been the best Doo Wop song ever.

  • @jimm4689 i guess what i was trying to say the average family has had to learn how to live within it's means and credit was hard to get in the 50's.the wild 90's,2000's were based on money nobody had.we've been bitchin' about the national debt forever.this has so much to do with self indulgence and greed.i have an idea, lets prosicute politicans for selling the country out.there's plenty of great music available now.Doo Wop had a special feel but your better off in your SUV than an Edsel!

  • @jimm4689 Check out The Velvets "Tonight" (Could Be The Night) also great Doo Wop of that era too.

  • @ronKY40216 Wish I could give your comment two thumbs up. lol agree whole heartedly,,,

  • This song is so beautiful, music back then is considered unique now, all we have now is stupid rapp music and crap, it's not beautiful like this. :DD I indeed love this music even though I'm into heavy metal!♥

  • I love this music and I was born in 94

  • @NickWEB17 me too. wish some of the music now a days were more like this!

  • @SarahIsShameless yea it would be much better that way

  • @NickWEB17 yeah. be better to slow dance to too. more smooth and romantic and all that mushy stuff

  • music isnt like it used to be

  • I love to listen to this song.

  • My alltime favorite DooWop song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nick Santo, the lead singer, had more talent in his pinky than any of the pretend singers today but had to be a cop to support his family. RIP, Nick

  • Awh... I love this song. <3

  • Great song!

  • So..... There's a moon out tonight lol

  • All I need now is a girl to cuddle up to.

  • im 18 but sometimes I wish I was from that era

  • Oh yeh, slow dancing to this one, two on one leg.

  • Dam sum classic rite here doe

  • Imagine my surprise,

when I saw them on tv, and they

    were, (gasp......), white guys.

Great music, from a great time in my life.
