AT LEAST HE DOESN'T HAVE TO HAVE THE AIRLINES WAIT FOR HIM. (HE HAS HIS OWN PLANE NOW) I WOULD WALK ON WATER FOR THAT MAN. I WISH THE SITUATION IN WASHINGTON WAS REVERSED. PRESIDENT BIDEN SOUNDS AWFUL GOOD TO ME.
I'm glad Biden is supporting Amtrak. That should have been done 15 years ago when Amtrak was going to replace it's aging equipment with 500-600 new rail-cars. It turns out they only got funding for 50 of the 450-550 cars and now they had just placed the order for 130 new cars, which is basically part of the order Amtrak never got 15 years ago because of the lack of funding.
Its funny, FRA put out an emergency order in light of the major California commuter rail accident in 2008 that train crews are not to be on their phones while on duty. Furthermore, I believe NORAC has had this rule in place for many years. Is this public admission of guilt?
Joe Biden does more than give lip service to supporting Amtrak; he put his words into action by taking the train to and from home daily. Way to go Joe! You're my kind of politician. As for the whiners here...what have you done to support Amtrak lately? Don't bitch unless you're without blemish.

For anyone who says that politicians don't get special treatment, or that they don't look for such treatment, or that they don't walk around with a sense that they are entitled to such treatment; well, this clip is for you.
Politicians don't deserve, and shouldn't get, special treatment; they are just regular people who are paid to represent and serve the people, and, they should be treated like it.
Shame on you, Joe, for making other people late for your own selfish reasons! You were wrong!
And what if the shoe were on the other foot? If you were the senior politician representing your state and was taking the time and effort to return home each day, would a couple-minute delay of your constituents commute be worth the sacrifice you were making?
The majority of U.S. senators dont come home. They LIVE in Washington, D.C. while Congress in session. Biden deserves Delawares gratitude for never forgetting his roots.
