@FiveFingerRainRap There is no auto attack, Their is a leveling plateau which means after lvl 20 it wont take longer real time wise to lvl from 21-22, 44-45, or 79-80. Also their is a gear plateau which means once you reach lvl 80 most gears are equal no longer providing up-grades but side-grades and better looking. For instance if you want to spec more crit than power. This is all because GW2 has an anti-grind philosophy. You can PvP from lvl 2, with max gear stats and skills in hot-join pvp.

@Alcapwn4 normal events scale 1-10. Events like Shatterer, Tequatl, and Sink the Ash Horizon are elite and will scale for 10-100 people. Also scaling only counts if players are actively participating if someone leaves or afk during the event it will scale back down. Neat huh

@ourorboros2 Ive watched a bunc of gameplay videos and Ive seen like one person stagger. Everyone is eating and dealing out a constant amount of damage just like every other static RPG. I only play action MMO's like vindictus. No way in hell you can casually walk at someone blasting you in the face with a shotgun in vindi. You actually need to dodge and tie your attacks. Tera is action, this isnt.

yes and most of the people providing gameplay footage have never played the game before and dont even know how to dodge but its a still major feature, there is even a dedicated energy bar for dodging, you can see it just above right hand side of the action bar.

and i've watched a few vids of TERA gameplay so far i've seen no dodging, just spamming spells and the AI is so terrible it doesn't even try to move out the way.

not to mention, this isn't an action-MMO, its an MMORPG, its just mixing in a few things from the genre, like the dodging, surprise surprise the action-MMO beats it...

besides, there is more to a game than the combat system however for an MMORPG GW2's combat system is leagues above the rest.

ah, i've just looked at the vid, this is very old footage, you cant see the dodge bar as its a mana bar in this version of the game, this is old alpha, if you find some of the newer vids you'll see its a yellow bar for dodging.

@wheresmyfun There's no DPS/Tank/Healer trinity and the Professions (classes) get different skills when using different weapons. Warriors get fire attacks and ranged AoE when using a long bow. As for release GW2 is in an internal closed beta, and Diablo 3 is in closed beta with beta-key give-aways. Both will most likely be out this year. Diablo 3 probably before summer, even.
