Awesome. I'm picking up an 02 bug-eye wagon on Saturday!! Its heavily modded, but needs a new motor. ( Picking it up for 3500 bucks in salt lake. 120k, clean title.)
SO excited. I used to have an 03 wrx sedan...and started looking for another..but I thought about it, and I really think I will enjoy the wagon more.
Everyone has sedans. The wagons to me are where its at I think. What about you? How do you like it compared to the sedan (interior wise, functionality, etc?
I think that suspension you got there would be ideal Here at the Idaho/Jackson Wyoming border. Its nothing for it to snow two foot in twenty four hours. Having that extra clearance would be awesome...shit, then you could throw a snow plow on that bitch!!! That would be one hell of a sight!
@bentleyshane I've gone through some primitive rutted backroads to the top of a mountain and I must add my FMIC (at the time) worked great as a snow plow and extra cooling :P As for functionality, the sedans get a lot of attention from local ricers, so I opted for the wagon. Plus wagons are fewer and far between, I haul quite a bit of stuff in addition to being able to load up for a camping weekend. I'm also the designated mobile mechanic with my 27gal air compressor & tools for my buddies
@Esmooooth Not sure if you were able to see the previous posts, but there isn't any real "lift" except for installing suspension from an 04 Forester. It bolts right in and didn't use any additional spacers.
@ansonowicz Looks great, dude. When you say "Forester suspension", exactly what parts do you mean? I'm looking into doing this to a wagon I'm about to buy :)
It's the stock 04' Forester suspension. Straight swap with no hassles. I'm running 215/65R16 General Grabber AT2s. They are almost as aggressive as BFGs without the hefty price tag.
Can you do this to an 05 sedan?

@ansonowicz
I was wondering does the 6speed housing fit up to the 2.0l or does it need moded?
STiRunner90 2 years ago
Yup, bolts up without adapters. Just get the correct clutch & flywheel combo and slave cylinder system.

NICE!
How many inches of ground clearance stock? Lifted with Forester suspension?
I want my '99 Outback to have even more ground clearance. 7.3 inches has a lot left to be desired.
