Obviously he wasn't our first black president. It was a metaphor used in the 1990's by some of my friends who are black I noticed. I guess my friends liked him and at the time thought Clinton was the closest thing to having a black president. I don't know why though. But it was a 90's saying that's "out of style" today. To me though, a person's race has nothing to do with governing. So whether Clinton was "black" or white, it doesn't matter. So, in other words, who cares.
