I can understand why she and other Native Americans don't want to be called Indians. Because, they aren't from India. Columbus thought he was near Indonesia and didn't want to accept the fact that he had 'discovered' a 'new' world. The reason I emphasize the words discovered and new is because the Vikings discovered the Americas before Columbus did. So, why do people continue to believe that Columbus was the founder? But, enough of my useless rambling. She's a wise lady.
