The poles will reverse but unless you have a compass you will not notice it. A big black hole sits in the middle of our galaxy but it can not influence Earth. If its rotation axis were pointed at Earth, telescopes might see a lot of X-ray and radio noise from it, but we are too far for any large effect, also it rotates the way the galaxy does, and therefore we are looking at its equator. And Earth's rotation can't change significantly because of the conservation of its angular momentum.

Oh, I think the other prophecies are interesting...especially the aztec one which accurately predicted the arrival of the whities. I'm curious if anyone has come up with a good debunking theory for the whitiey prophecy. Anyway, there are some interesting things out there, but the internet thing is bogus. What else will the webbot predict? That people will goole for porn? People will get SPAM in their inbox?

I've heard people make the case that you can add certain Biblical prophecies together and/or look at the timeline of big events in the Bible and supposedly you can come up with the same date, 2012. (shrugs) I'm sceptical myself.
