@06s091 yeah. that's pretty accurate. only my favorite fantine was lea salonga from the 25th anniversary concert. and alfie boe was surprisingly amazing as jean valjean, i thought i would hate him because he wasn't an original. bring him home won me over, though.
Alfie is amazing. I can't wait to see him as Valjean in June. Colm will always be my favorite, but there have been some great ones over the years, and Alfie is definitely one of them. I also love John Owen Jones in the part.
@06s091 defdinately, i love lea salonga so much. the heart she puts in to each role is just amazing! have you seen the 25th anniversary concert? i love the bring him home quartet at the end with all 4 of them, plus simon bowman. it's pretty amazing.
@asthefriendsSCREAM Yes, I've seen it. I LOVE the 10th at the Albert Hall, but the 25th had it's moments too. My favorite part was the Valjean Quartet (although I don't like Simon Bowman that much as Valjean) and the Original Cast version of One Day More.
My least favorite part isn't a big surprise I'm sure: Nick Jonas. He wasn't as bad as I feared, but NOWHERE near the standard of the other performers. So I was VERY happy when Michael Ball got on the stage to show him how it's done properly.
My mom wanted to name me Cosette :P My dad (thankfully!!) said no, not that I don't like the name, its pretty and all but I just wouldn't be able to love with it :P
Wish you would have used to 10th Anniv Recording with MB and PQ (minus Lea, Frances is so much better! Which I have nothing against her, just sounds too happy to be a miserable girl!)
@trinkamay Only 1 group of people: the great masses of people addicted to the incense of death metal, and heavy metal. Musical history is an ideological class struggle between them: sensationalistic music versus music with higher aesthetic values. Just like how musical bourgeois in France are suppressing the barricade of what they consider to be "lesser" musical proletariats to squeeze the profits out of them. One day more! Another day of rivalry, another day of agony ...
I Enjoyed it a lot but i think you should have used the 10th Anniversary recording, but thats just my opinion, even though i hate their Marious I think everyone else is amazing, and also, for me atleast, that version gives me chills like none of the others
honeslty, this is definitely one of the better videos on YouTube. Considering what you had to do, it actually has pretty good sound quality (its about on par with my Digital version, which i ripped from disc).
I saw this twice, once at my high school and once at a really big Theatre place, and the one at my high school was better....(considering we have the tech guy of the district with us and we hired a professional pyro. team, not to mention the talent...*drools*)....
The reason why the sound isn't that good is because back then I didn't know how to use a computer to edit and add in music. This was done without any computer and I held my sisters CD player up to the camera and timed the music with turning the camera on. That's why it took forever to make this.
AcieffeRoxia, I don't really care if this is on youtube. Thanks for uploading it. Thanks for the comments people.
Dear AcieffeRoxia, This is my video. my sister casey gave it to you. Why did you put it on youtube? Now people are commenting on it and they kinda like, kinda criticize because they don't have anything better to do.
This was a project my friend and I made on night. We were up till 6 in the morning making this and we showed it to our teacher who was then directing our high school version of the play. Weber High!!!!
I second stevenscollege's guess that it's from the Broadway Cast album. I own several different recordings of Les Miz, and I can guess pretty accurately which recording is which by listening. The chorus would sound far more fuller if it was from the 10th Anniversary Cast album.
Thats really great but this recording isnt very good, Marius is terrible and I dont like the sound of their Javert, but Eponine sounds like Frances Ruffelle so im thinking this is the broadway recording.

@asthefriendsSCREAM I find it dificult to choose a favorite Les Mis recording. I have my favorite performers, but they aren't on the same recording.
Valjean: Colm Wilkinson (OLC, OBC, TAC)
Javert: Phillip Quast (CSR, TAC)
Marius: Michael Ball (OLC, CSR, TAC)
Fantine: Patti LuPone (OLC)
Enjolras: Anthony Warlow (CSR)
Cosette: Rebecca Caine (OLC)
Eponine: Francess Ruffelle (OLC, OBC) or Lea Salonga (TAC)
Thenardier: Alun Armstrong (OLC, TAC)
Madame Thenardier: Jenny Galloway (TAC)

Cosette's showing a lot of cleavage there. I don't think Jean Valjean would have let her out of the house like that.

@BriarRose149 technically speaking-- if Valjean had his way, he wouldn't let her out of the house, period.
