  • Debut albums seem to be the best 'ten', 'parachutes' , 'debut', 'blue lines' , 'appetite', 'dire straits', 'gish'. What does this say about record companies?????

  • May 28 2011 Gish will be 20 years old

  • Title is a pun on 'windowpane', a.k.a.'clearlight', a.k.a. 'geltabs', LSD, man...

  • OMG listen to 4:41

  • pay attention kids: top five all-time drummer at work here.

  • gish=psychedelic, SD=hard alter. and hard psychedelic, MCIS= soft and hard psychedelic and alter., Adore=soft alter., machina= hard and soft progressive alter., machina 2= hard and soft electronic alter. and progressive alter., Zeitgeist=hard and soft progressive alter. this band is genius musically and even more genius in how they're music progresses and changes throughout the albums

  • @stevenatuh You forgot the also great Pisces Iscariot album from 94 :)

  • @saturn761 ahh how could i forget!! well they're all beautiful in there own pumpkiny way. did u guys read that one of the girls on siamese dream actually is in the band right now! far out!

  • wat a song

  • I think this might be in my top 3 fave tunes these folks ever put out....epic.

  • fucking love this song. everything about it is <3

i dedicate this to my fish whom died today :[ hahahah.

    waffels <3

  • the rhythm and the chords from the beginning probably drew their inspiration from Rumble by Link Wray XD billy is known for acknowledging his influences. i wonder if i'm right 'bout this one.

  • If Nirvana had never happened, Smashing Pumpkins would have shaken the world. As it is, they still took their share of the limelight from Seattle bands, all during the dawn of the 'Grunge" era. It was Nirvana, Sound Garden, Pearl Jam, and Smashing Pumpkins. I hate the way the Pumpkins went out, but their early stuff made my life magic, and I will miss those times forever.

  • @eqsheiky same here

  • @eqsheiky, I saw the pumpkins open, followed by Pearl Jam, and then Red Hot Chilis back in 1990. One of the best nights of my life. American Theater, St. Louis, MO.

  • @ThatRascal WOW, whip out your crayons and color me jealous! So much good music was coming out then. That sounds like an amazing line up, especially considering where those bands were, musically, at the time.

  • @eqsheiky Yeah basically this guy got to listen to stuff from Gish, Ten and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, fuckin amazing. I can only imagine how badass it was being there since I was only like 6 months old haha.

  • wtf is window paine?

  • acid

  • @grigir4o, acid?

  • great instrumental this is up there with silverfuck, rhinoseros in my book of great solos

  • Gish is a great album .. listen to it track after track .. this is track 9/10. Love em all

  • esse álbo é foda para o caralho!

  • omg, this song is fucking awesome, it should have at the top, "This video is unsuitable for miners", it's so amazing!

  • I bought this album on cassette yesterday.

  • awesome! thats how I first bought back in the day! Its a great album.

  • window paine, soma and rhinoceros are the three best psychedelic songs.

  • i like how psychadelic it sounds. A song like 'bullet with butterfly wings' is too pop for me.

  • it's just sounds different... Mellon Collie is great but band was 4 years older at the time and they can't make the same music for sure... Gish was a psychedelic masterpiecie, one of the best records EVER made.

  • Are you serious?

  • This album is genius. The whole thing is about spiritual enlightenment. Greatest SP album ever.

  • I also wanted to say that the lyrics in the songs represent Billy Corgan intellectualising the divine. In this song, Billy is writting about the demons (shadows) around his spiritual heart, weighing him down, blocking divine love.

  • no he's not. Its about his pet dog

  • Gish is a great album but siamese dream is their best album!!

  • @AsunderCleft reminds me of zep 1

  • sin duda su mejor tema

  • acid yields peyote

  • Long live the pumpkins!!! They just rock!!

  • Awsome! My favorite band !

  • Gish was like one of the less successful albums but yet so influential

  • uhhhh...that person is right. Gish did not make them famous, Siamese Dream did. Gish just got them in the door. My God calm down.

  • @amieosia ..Yup, Today made them famous!!

  • LOL!

  • sounds like someone got a holy grail reverb

  • beautiful song

  • gish - a great album - happy to see more vids posted from this album
