I dont see why nintendo dont actually release consoles "special edition" or otherwise like this. I have an old gameboy that was clear, and i thought that was the bomb! at one point ants started living in it and i basically had an ant life cycle within my game boy which i could see from the outside....it was impressive to say the least. :P
