  • This is very helpfull as the NHS was one of my weaker topics.

thanks just got to pass the exam now.

  • im doing medicane through time as one of my topics, but in 2008/9, is this stuff relevent?

  • This will be relevant to your study of the 20th Century changes to medicine. This is for SHP 1336B paper. The nominated topic changes every year. This year it will be changes in surgery from 1800s I think, I havent started that - check your syllabus and then keep an eye on what we post later on.

  • huh? i'm defo doing medicine through time, it says it on me book! - im in year 11 now...

sooo ...i'll just use ur tips ! thanx! :D

  • I have added some bubbles to the presentation which will give question style tips, starts towards the end... hope it helps!

  • hay just saying thanks agen for this got me exam 2moz :D

  • No worries, it's good to help other students as well as our own... I have sent you some tips on question types that I sent some others who have asked questions.... good luck

  • What is the name of the song at the end?

  • Great music.. i heard the mr. durkin played it... its great... by the way this is callum ginn and tell mr durkin i sed great playin the song =D

  • Thanks Callum, good to hear from you!!! Who told you about this.... hope all is going well at your new school. Mr D - keep in touch, and I do hope you chose history for GCSE!!

  • max told me about it.. i chose businiss studies, art and it... my backup was history though. and thanks im doing great at me new school. its very boring where i live... =D

  • How did you hear about these on myspace? Anyhow... As I said to the previous person who gave feedback, I'll email you some tips on question types. Just have a look at a past paper and see what the questions ask you to do and how they change as they get more marks. Good luck and thanks for the feedback!

  • Cheerz for this mate, got my exam wednesday and looking through my books just depressess me, lol, anywayz thanks :)

  • Don't forget that whatever you are looking at revising now will already be in your head - as long as you know most of the main themes of 20th century, key figures such as Lloyd George, Nye Bevan, Beveridge and the changing nature of the NHS and medicine in the last century you'll be fine. I will email you with some tips on the style of question later. Nearly everything you need to refer to will be in the sources - don't panic! Thanks for the feedback.

  • This Helped alot

But i'm sure Paper 2 is on The Renaissance?

  • I'm glad it helped, I must say you panicked me but this year is definitely 20th century. One clue is that is the 60th anniversary of the NHS 5th July 1948-2008 so it is timely.

  • which examination board is this? I think i'm on OCR

  • Good point mate! This is SHP, so you may indeed be doing Renaissance - check with your teacher or go on the OCR website, search history and nominated topic.

  • thnx alot for this got my exam 2morrow hlped alot :D

  • Your welcome, don't forget this show is more relevant to your Paper 2 although it will help with tomorrow. Have a look at some of our favourites for others work. Good luck tomorrow!

  • Thanks!!

Got my exam on tuesday, really scared and this was really useful, as were your other videos

    Also great piano

  • Thank you! I've got my GCSE's coming up and I'm really good at medicine (guess being the daughter of a midwife helps) Hey, I'm not too good with Nazi Germany. Can you upload anything about that?

  • You're welcome. We have a couple of Nazi Germany presentations, however we will be uploading them over time as we have changed our syllabus from American West to Nazi Germany. I recommend you search on here as there are absolutely loads of presentations on Nazi Germany - we just haven't got round to putting them on our favourites yet. Good luck with your exam.

  • Well... I played the first song on the piano 'One Republic's Apologize' although my lot didn't believe me until I played it for real. The other is from Romeo and Juliet - The Balcony Scene (I think) - glad you found it useful.
