Thawra is my hero! I watch this so mutch! sometimes I even wonder if he's out there, my yard kinda gets all misty and sometimes I think I see him, but I'm not sure if is just me, or it is him, but ya, I could watch this movie for 100000 years and not get tired of it!!!!!! :D

It's based on the novel by Elyne Mitchell called the Silver Brumby, in which Thowra was so white he glinted silver in the sun/moonlight. I guess Palamino was the closest the movie makers could find!

Good luck finding an Akhal Teke in the Australian bush. Thowra is a BRUMBY, after all.  And Akhal Teke's would look nothing like he is meant to.

I'm not going crazy about it. The book doesn't have proper illustrations because you're supposed to be using your IMAGINATION, based on the descriptions Elyne Mitchell wrote. Try it sometime.

err, i have read the book, like a million times, and yes,i have used my imagination on what the horses look like, they all look diff to the film, and me making a crack about the akhal teke seems to have rubbed uyou upm the wrong way, so, i am so eternally sorry*sarcastic* (incase u culdnt tell)but, its my opinion, not urs, that counts to me, so why doint cha leave me alone and go and piss someone else off
