That's Pritzker behind Dr. Jeevanandam, right? So why is he telling us about beautiful architecture while standing in front of an embarrassingly ugly building? Jeez, that thing is almost as ugly as the MIT campus.
Surely we can do better than that. (I'm AB 80, MBA 84.)

Look up the word "satire, " it'll do you a world of good.
I'm just in it to play devil's advocate; I've got no devotion to a school I've never attended. I'm genuinely interested in what you perceive to be analystical skills- please write me back.
As for self-importance, I'm confident about who I am and what I do, and I don't have to prove it to someone who commented on a video knowing Dr. J wouldn't get back to them.
Wow, you came back here 3 weeks later just to post a terribly illogical response? I really hope you get your job back at McDonald's- your mom's basement must be terribly boring.
Hey, give the guy a break; he's got less than two-and-a-half minutes to talk about the university he attended, and it's not like he can outline every little detail he might like to. I agree that he doesn't specifically highlight why U of C is better, but he doesn't work in admissions- persuading people to come to U of C isn't his career/main job.
Besides, the name of the University of Chicago carries a little more weight than say Loyola or Northwestern (both good schools, mind you).
Well, then that's the job of whoever is organizing, editing, and producing these videos, and he should be blamed.
As for the "carries a little more weight" comment, it's generally centered around rank and prestige. U of C generally ranks up in the top 10 for private universities, and although rankings are bullshit, people still pay attention/follow them. My friend at U of C (undergrad) tells me the professors are actually very accessable and they do teach. T.A.'s usually do small group stuff.
Your rhetoric would be effective if I didn't see right through it. Besides, looks like you could brush up on your reading comprehension: I said "...and although rankings are bullshit, people" (not me, mind you, but others) "still pay attention/follow them." The general public looks at that, and to them, it means something.
Before you jump to shoddy conclusions, I'm not a U of C graduate. I'd have to guess you weren't accepted when you applied and now feel bitter toward the school? "It shows."
