Yes, german is spoken here, but on very very few ''isolated'' comunities towards the south. But its due to their heritage. The same applies to Chinese, Japanese and Italian with their bigger colonies.

But those idioms are way far from becoming even ''unnofficial'' languages, or dialects.

The point was, if the guy on tv was speaking spanish on a TV broadcast.. here in Brazil it would never happen without the subtitles.
