for some reason the carpool lanes in norther california seem to flow smoother cuz you can go in and out at any place. on the 5 in orange county there's log jams at every freaking carpool merging area.

Here in Charlotte, NC nowone drives in the HOV lanes.

im moving to LA for college and I was looking around the Pasadena area for a place and i was just wondering in normal LA mornig rush hour how long do u think it would take me to get from Pasadena to UCLA... Also would it be quicker to take the Pasadena Freeway to the ten and the take the 405N or take the ventura freeway to the 405? Thanks

The 405 is a disaster anytime you drive it, that's for sure.  The rush hour may ease up a little on the Pasadena to I10 but it will still be rush hour. It's just unavoidable when you live in LA - trust me.

How's the break wear in Ca. I need to open a break shop so I can be rich. I see car pooling is a joke. Yes they need a taste of a little 6 lane in jersey doing 85 to 90!! Makes up for the veiws.

We live near NYC part of the time but Jersey drivers haul ass. I couldn't understand why 1/2 the drivers in California never go. The Jersey boys would run them over. I gotta make a Garden State Parkway video. Six lanes wide, hauling ass, and jockeying for position, It is an absolute blast.
