dude i know how you feel,i have a les paul and the neck is fattt,and the first 3 weeks or something i was like:fuck this shit,i fucking hate it

but after 4 months i got used to it,and loooooved the grip of a fat neck

also,a fat neck gives a better sound to the intrument,trust me

keep your gibson,in a while,you are going to fall in love with it

i really love sg shape, but i would like one with 24 frets and floyd rose, without this specs a guitar is shit for my playing, i don't care if is a gibson, with good woods and good hardware any guitar rocks, i would pay more than 1200 if could find an sg with my specs.

@3xVxC dude it doesnt matter if it has a floyd rose nor 24 frets. Cause your not going to be able to find a SG with a floyd rose unless you put one on it (and that would be somewhat hard). And you don't really need 24 frets, i have an SG with 22 and its perfectly fine. So don't bitch.

i absolutely agree, heritage cherry is the best. i have an sg special, sorry i only could afford a $750 guitar, and it is heritage cherry. i love it, humbuckers not the best but i still love it. you can't beat gibson, definitely not with fender or gretsch. prs is just as good though. i love them both!

I don't play this guitar as much as my others, but whenever i do it always puts a smile on my face. Meanest sounding axe i own, for sure. Good playing dude

I've had the silverburst model for about a year now, this is the only guitar that ever came setup perfectly from the factory. I love low action and this one can play rather well without too many rattles. A good recommendation would be to change that tone cap to a quality cap like an orange drop.  Gibson uses cheap ceramic disk caps. You will be very pleased with how the tone rolls off with a good cap. Ceramic disk caps have a very sterile sound.
