Htc hd2 touch screen not responding

my hd2 just recently started the same thing! all of the lower ( call, home, back & power button) work but my screen isn't responding to even unlock it. Let me know also if anyone has figured out a way besides having to buy a digitizer, please!

Right now i've not been able to use my phone for 2 days. The screen won't respond. If a call comes in, i can't answer it, i can't text or reply any.... Freaking annoying. The worst of it all is that i have no warranty and i've had this phone for only 2months now. So i'm actually stuck with this stupid phone. Grrrghhhhh........... I'm thinking of buying a digitizer and opening it up too. But i'm also afraid that i might break it. Really really annoying.

OKAY GUYS, the pressing down hard on the red power button works, but only for like two or three days and then u got the same damn problem again :)

THEN i tried when you push down on the top of the red button and then u press down on the bottom of the red button hard with ur nails and IT WORKED!... For like two or three days as well.

SO i tried pressing down on the red button with a pencil, worked for 2 min and now my phone does not work at all! So, i need help asap b4 i jump off a cliff. THX!

Me and my wife both have the HD2 and I flashed the Android 3.2 a while ago....blah blah blah onto both of our phones. Her phones touch screen stopped working out of nowhere. I tried bvuaixxx's (below) response and thank you very much.

Push down the power button very hard then it works. My hd2 is having problems with the back button hardware wise. the light flickers. if anyone has a solution to that pleaaaaseee let me know as the warranty has finished. thanks :)

Bro the exact same thing happened to me, first it started of that if i wanted to unlock my phne on i had to use any other button other than the power button, and it would work. But ever since yesterday my phones touch screen will not work at all, all the physical buttons still work but my fukN touch screen wont work -_-

If you have this same problem just get a new touch screen digitizer and it will solve your problem. Obviously it will happen again with time. These phones have that problem.

i think this happen becos the conector of digitalizer and motherbord is under the power button..as we presing the pwr buttn mny times i think tht cable cracks..

ok ve got this guy that fixed it raphezider or something like..he said that the digitizer is below the end key,so u shud just press it hard enough so it cud nudge the digitizer now mine works and is smoother!! try that!

oblem just happened to me today , it frozen after fall down , i took out the battery , every tihing not working ,then i just press everything in the device for long time hahaha , then it works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despues de desarmar y armar de cambiar roms a mi querido HD2 encontre el fallo real, se trata del botón de colgar al ser oprimido toca el flex de la pantalla táctil eso es todo al tiempo de tanto uso lo llega a cortar y mi solucion para no hacer una gran inversion fue quitar este boton hasta la parte donde se ve el maldito flex asi llevo mas de 2 meses y no me volvió a fallar (tapé el hueco con un sticker negro y ni se nota ademas instale el tap tap y apago el HD2 desde la pantalla)

My HD2 had the same problem, however it does not have any crack. but it decided for itself when it wanted to be touched or not (LOL). Then I tried to push hard on the power button and it did work. So thank you very much for the advice, I would not had thought on something like this.

It's called water damage you fool, why are you complaining? I bet you used your phone in the rain and play with it in the bath right? Well these phones aren't waterproof and just using it will wet hands is enough for some water to run inside and short something out like what has happened on my desire.

this only works for a minute if you take the battery out and press in the center where the battery is and press and hold down the power button for a few seconds with a key or something hard and flat it should start back working but dont hit the power button at all it will lock back up and you will have to repeat.

My phone did the same thing, If you go to google search for the HD2 ROm t-mobile update to that, screen should still not work, YOU gotta Knock the shit outta the lower screen near the power button or hang up and keep doing it, it should work but if you hit that button again, knock it around again worked for me when i got mad

You might be having a problem with the digitizer. Inside the glass there are extremely fine strips of metal conductors or sensors whatever! That over time could have stopped touching each other and the plug for the digitizer is pretty much right under the end button so that is probably your problem. Get other a new phone or digitizer

ive been lookin on ebay the last week and seen new screens for like 35.bux . i busted mine after the yellawolf show last week . the whole screen is cracked up but it still works great . lucky my friend had a hd2 for his back up and gave it to me for free cant beat that. these are dope ass phones you should at least get a screen and try to fix it yourself .

its the connection between digitizer and motherboard when you press powerbutton it fucks up the connection , just replace it

your digitizer is broken. the glass is fused to the touch screen so you need to replace both. this wont happen to me cause I use a case. ben is hot? seriously?? ugh...

@corrections alright um its not the broken glass its the touchscreen or a connection on the inside hundreds of people are having the same problem and my brother had the same exact problem but his phone wasn't cracked
