They were never meant to be accurate. The Disney producers thought it would be a rip to rewrite them as fun hilarious adventures starring Herc as the central character and juxtaposing modern ideas against an ancient context for laughs. This show is not for people to learn mythology, it's for people who Know their mythology inside out and want a good laugh.

The short version is, No Prometheus isnt The good Titan, hes One of the good Titans. The Cyclops isnt a titan at all, and helped Zeus win the war in the first place, Poseidon is the evil older brother, and Hades is a shut neutral shut in. Zeus is a big fat jerk, and the only titan that could really be considered evil in the first place was Kronus, who acted like Zeus. There is also something in there about Zeus being pissed off that Prometheus wouldnt tell Zeus who would overthrow him.

Believe me if you look at a mythological family tree it is positively covered with incest! Heracles is technically his own cousin! And yes his grandfather is also technically his uncle! The greek gods weren't very careful with who the slept with! However in the series none of this counts!

yeah, it was a dicey thing to try, and its one of the reasons the show flopped....too many parents complaining about its twisted weird humour.E Ren and Stimpy can do anything they want, but Disney is eld to a higher standard, and people were uncomfortable with it. I loved it, of course, and so did my kids.

yeah, Mony Python, exactly!!! Eric Idle was like the "Muse" of the Python show and wrote most of their songs and ditties. He's English of course, and very much in tune with the music hall tradition and Gilbert and Sullivan, so, thats where the inpriration came from. I adore this ep although I remember being a bit shocked by its cheerful gruesomeness...the humour is so "Farside"
