Your part-time job is another fantastic manifestion. I like how you are focusing on all of the perks that come with it.

I am delighted that you're "back" from the dark place you were in. I also think it is helpful for us to hear when others go through a rough patch because we see that we do come through it.

Its sometimes easier to put a happy face on than to admit to being in a bad place.. somehow it makes me feel weak and vulnerable admitting I'm struggling and its crossed my mind that my ex could stumble upon my vids and use my weaknesses against me, cos thats the kind of thing he does!! But que sera, i can't live my life worrying about him anymore..

There is a book titled, "What you think of me is none of my business." I have not read it, but perhaps I should. As a recovering addict of the Disease to Please, I had made it my mission to garner the approval of others. I realised that I am not living my life for me, rather, I am living my life for what I perceive to be what others will approve of.

When we fully approve of ourselves, we claim our power. No one can touch us -- their opinions, comments will not matter because our opinion matters more to us than theirs.

My mantra (thanks to Wayne Dyer) is "I am independent of the opinions of others." I may take other people's opinions into consideration, but at the end of the day, I practice living by my own Light.

pt 1... 3rd time lucky..

my ex said some nasty things to me, but sugar coated them, like, "you're like marmite, you either love it or you hate it, they don't like you because they don't understand you so you irritate them, but its okay I love you as you are, so it doesn't matter what they think!" He said this in so many ways with different analogies that i believed i irritated people and they didn't like me, so ended up feeling awkward and uncomfortable around them..!!

It never crossed my mind he was manipulating me to 'need' him and think that he was the only one who really loved me. He pushed my friends away and turned me from a confident outgoing popular woman into a self conscious, paranoid, pile of crap - or at least thats how i felt and when you feel it, you become it!

Its hard to reconcile me, with the person i was. My kids won't know whats hit them when i get 'me' back properly..lol I'm slowly regaining my belief in myself!

I probably will, even when i don't need to... I love the place and feel very comfortable there, they are a charity and have a limited budget, so i have helped out with quite a lot there in the past.
