  • import 4 life

  • If another mutha' fucka' says this is compressor surge, I'm punching a baby in the face.

  • lol @ all the nerds calling compressor surge. you see it on so many videos.

"ZOMG COMPRESSOR SURGE. IM A KEYBOARD RACECAR DRIVER I KNOW EVERYTHING" fuckin virgins

  • that is definitely one nasty compressor surge.

  • I have the same on my evo 8..great sound.

  • Surpass always have the whipped sound that's why the 3.8l inline 6 was so unique to this perticular car. And yea that sound makes me jizz in pants

  • I have the greddy type r bov on my r33 they're made to sound like this stupid fucks lmao

  • @OFFMONSTER lol word

  • @OFFMONSTER Well it does sound like the spring in the bov is too tight, if it's meant to sound that way then so be it

  • This sounds like compressor surge lol.

  • @KyleCook94 yeah! he doesn't use a bov at all, it's just the compressor surge from the single turbo that makes that sound. The clip is from the swedish track "Mantorp"

  • can you tell me what bov was that?

  • @iRookiExD look at the title?

  • @sleeeeezak i looked it up buy not all the bovs sound the same...

  • @iRookiExD this one is the type R. i dont like the sound on it, its overkill i.m.o

  • @sleeeeezak its funny to listen to lol. i wouldnt have it though

  • @OFFMONSTER no its not look at the other vids.

  • The greedy type r is made to sound like that it is not compression surge.

    !!!!!!IDIOTS!!!!!!!

  • compressor surge

  • @BoardUnderMyFeet just dont throw around the term 'broke ass shit talkers' and no,you could have a car,but i dont really think you do.but if you did it would most likely be a corolla or somthing of that sort..

  • The BOV is not opening at all.

  • BoardUnderMyFeet "all of you broke people" you ride on a piece of fucking wood with some wheels lol..

  • @92RB20Monster Does that automatically mean I don't own a car?

  • nice surge. It may have a greddy type r but it obviously isnt opening at all.

  • Wow. Look at all them e-mechanics in here and their know-it-all comments. That's not even close to a bov. That's a dose pipe. He's not running a bov at all. Also, that's not compressor surge. If you want to hear a real compressor surge type "true compressor surge" on the search box here in youtube. The same thing can be heard on Orido's Ridox Supra.

  • Sounds more like a compressor surge to me.

  • @the1337priest Compressor surge happens on boost/throttle

  • sounds like mr magoo...

  • Must I say again, LOL at all of you mechanics. You guys don't even understand how a turbocharger works let alone surge. Physically impossible for impeded airflow to spin the compressor wheel backwards to "surge". It's spinning at thousands of rpms, a bit of air won't spin the goddamn wheel in the opposite direction. I don't drive yet and I know this, why don't most of you? It's not your car anyways, they can afford to replace their broken shit no problem. Unlikes most broke ass shit talkers here

  • It does sound like compressor surge..

  • i dont think thats a blow off valve sound, thats the sound you get when you do not have a blowoff valve and the unused air returns to the turbo making that sound instead of being released by the blowoff valve which this car definitely does not have

  • @Aldo586 Compressor surge?

  • thats not a greddy type r, the sounds comes from the open wastegate;)

  • @surlograsp wrong. when you let off the gas your waste gate does nothing. it closes and stays closed until you boost again.

  • @bluemk3supra not really if you have a diaphragm and an external wastegate. you can hear it!

  • @bluemk3supra yup what open when you let good of throttle is your BOV or BPV

  • Comment removed

  • @SnowAura1337 or just make the LFA price more in comparision to the GTR

  • This isn't a bov doing this, in fact, he does not have a BOV at all. Because he has no BOV, it pushes some air back through the turbo causing it to flutter like this, combine the flutter with a dose pipe you get that sound.

Youtube a video of "car dosing" and you will see what I mean.

  • @quadracer111 I bet you have a phd in youtube car mechanics

  • sound like a dose pipe on a huuge turbo!

  • id say they almost all due because they have a heavy spring in the bov to hold shut under high boost so at low boost its not enuff pressure to open all the way hence the flutter

  • greddy RS .. THATS WHAT IT SOUND LIKE TO ME... COMPRESSOR SURGE MY ASS

  • @k9kurtie no its the type r ..the rs sounds different

  • why do all/most supras have this compressor surge noise?

  • he is trying to hard... NICE car tho!!!

  • sex much yea

  • @xkoz91x you are a f*cking RTARD :) 1. the turbo does not blow up if you don't have a BOV but it will shorten it's life, go to google and get some info and get a turbo car IRL before you get your fat ass here on youtube, 2 just to prove you wrong and that you are in fact a complete rtard im going to the garage and removing my BOV from my Volvo b230 turbo and you will se :)

  • it kinda sounds like the turbonetics godzilla bov actually imo

  • thats not comp surge.. thats my favorite bov :D ... fuck heads

  • @k9kurtie what bov is that ??

  • sounds like a monkey lol ;)

    sounds sick though,

    better at high revs

  • @xkoz91x This is chopped air trying to escape through turbine out of the intake. Bov's woosh and chirp. My turbo made same noise before replacing an old bov with bad seals. Stock sr20's, rb's, ca's, etc.....are all turbo and come out of the factory with no bov. They have wastegates on the turbo instead. Get facts straight before looking dumb.

  • give the Supra a tissue.. it sounds like it has a flue ! It sneezes allot :D

  • That bov is so sexalicious!!!!! I love this supra, and his drifts are awesome!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Cheesevillage how so?

  • its definately the bov, since old school hks and greddy are adjustable blow off valves

  • LOL at all of you mechanics on here

  • haha this is my fucking dream car

  • THANKSGIVING IS HERE!

  • gobble gobble

  • some of you need to search the differences between a wastegate and a blow-off valve

  • my friends prelude sounded like this "a horse sneezing" i always thought lol..

    until his bro crashed it..

  • Love the bov. Just not when the turbo doesnt make full boost

  • Love when it makes the full boost. Not the turkey crap

  • u got a lil bit of surge there

  • why the hell do people think wastegates make noise. they dont.

  • @littlemimus if you have a wastegate blowing out and ur running highboost and get to max boost the wastegate opens letting out the pressure with a VERY loud noise....

  • Is it a bov or just pure wastegate..? :P

  • That is not a greddy bov, its turbosurge.

  • if he didnt have a bov he would destroy his turbo

  • does the supra have compression surge?

cus thats sort what it sounds like :O

but its still MAD NICE :DDD

  • HE doesnt have a BOV at all in this car..

  • @Chaklax

actually im pretty sure he does with a greddy type r after you replace the spring it makes the distinct wootootoo sound.

  • @Lodge9394 This dude lives only a couple of miles away and ive seen this car. He doesnt have any BOV due to the extremely high turboboost hes using.

  • @Chaklax u sir are a dumbass lol

  • @mardoxidee How come? Ive seen the car in the garage, and asked the same thing about the BOV..

  • lucky his car sounds soo good made it easier for me to watch his drifting lol

  • This supra isn't stock right? What turbo is this car running?

  • lol thats the best xD

  • that bov sounds sick

  • nice bov getting my 2jz for my 240sx coupe soon

  • wish they still make the car again.... FUCK THE FT86

  • Man that sounds queer

  • GOBLGOBLGOBL

  • love how people pretend to know what compressor surge is and comment while making themselves look like complete fuckheads

  • look up dose pipe, same sound, its a metal pipe mounted to the turbo

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    \/

  • compressor surge

  • @george5751 yep that's all i hear too! If it actually has a bov on it needs adjusting badly!!

  • @s9ecialk I AGREE!

  • woootootototoo kkkkkkkkkk

    like a turkey.

Hey guys. Is it possible to get the same bov noise in a mitsubishi eclipse gst G2.

how bov I must use to get?

    sry for my english.

  • i have a question cuz i own a 95 eclipse gsx and i was wonderin if i should get a flutter bov or a whistle bov thanx

  • @krayziebonejr Get a DIAF flutter whitstle.

  • @krayziebonejr I have a 96 GST with a HKS bov and its has a whistle sound but get a wastegate and you get that kind of flutter sound too.

  • lol ossum sound :D

  • +9788678594 thumbs up for actually doing something with this car and taking it out on a track. Too many videos online of people starting them up, revving them, and gingerly pulling away from a stoplight.

  • Jeez, every day there are 1000 new people commenting on this video, trying to play smart. Give it a rest kids. You're right, all of you :)

  • There is some minor compressor surge here. Or the BOV is fluttering. Neither is really very good, although some turbos can take compressor surge with no problems.

  • biggg compressor surge, how many turbos that supra has had already? one a day?

  • haha type r my arse thats a 2jza80 supra turbo and its a blow off valve hence the name bov. not a compresser you only get compressers on big power drag cars because they have to vent large ammounts of air from huge turbos think of a blow off valve as a mini compressor.they sound different because they are made to sound cool so stop moaning. its a blow off valve ok!

  • @darleydirtbiker dude do u have any idea about turbo cars??? cause that whole comment is jibber jabber and means fuck all.....

a turbo has a compressor wheel on it, hence all turbos are compressors, in saying that this is compressor surge/stall what ever it wants to be called these days, a type r bov is a big bov, and i have had one on a car b4 and it was brilliant they do not sound like this at all when they are setup correctly, this car is surging, not opening a bov

  • @darleydirtbiker Wow, you know nothing about turbochargers. Seriously.

  • @darleydirtbiker Fuckin idiot. Bwahahahahahaha!

  • Flutterdump -.-

  • NOT compressor surge fools!

  • I'm getting so damned tired of reading "Compressor surge!" in the comments on EVERY fucking Supra video on youtube. Give it a rest.

  • This is compressor surge...through and through.

  • Swe m8?

  • sound like a turkey lol sick supra

  • Hks ist bettter than Greddy for Supras

  • This is just the BOV, if it were cmpressor surge you would be able to hear the compressor wheel forcing itself tryign to spin the right direction meanwhile it's being forced to spin the other way due to the back pressure in the intake. You would here liek a mjumpy and laggy sound.

  • If you have a supra it must not be turbo'ed cuz I have 96 eagle talon tsi with a t 70 trim turbo . when I'm at low rpms and let go of the throttle it's flutters (surge) that means there is not enough pressure to make use of the bov or you fucked up and ur front mount piping and it has a leak . the supra in this vid is all bov not surge .... Now tell me I'm wrong

  • i love that sound hha

  • ok, dont know wut all of you are saying because i read one and the kids an idiot,

bottom line is this IS INDEED compressor surge, and Yes there is more than 1 type of compressor surge, and NO it really isnt bad for your vehicle it just takes more time for your turbo to re spool rather to having a BOV, i drive a turbocharged truck and i have both BOV and i unplug the bov and let it surge sometimes too.

  • surge only happens when the turbo at full boost

  • your wrong, until you drive a turbo car and know something of what your talking about, just be quiet. large turbos surge at low RPMs, beleive me i know.

  • ive got a supra.. and there a video which even tells you what a real surge is

  • just to let all of you know who is saying its a bov, your horribly wrong, thats compressor surge. he most likely has a dose pipe on it.

  • Lol, no it's not. TRUE Compressor surge only happens under boost. Not off boost, i.e lifiting off the throttle. Don't comment on somthing you know nothing about.

  • compressor surge happens when the throttle is lifted...

pressurized air is entering the engine, the throttle plate closes, causing that pressurized air to go somewhere- out the blow off valve, if it is properly adjusted/working- but if it cannot exit there, it will back up to the turbo compressor wheel and cause it to rapidly flutter up and back, causing the noise you hear.

You should take your own advice and not comment on something you clearly know nothing about.

  • HAHAHA i've seen this exact same comment like 18 times trying to explain what they think is compressor surge. Have you ever seen what real compressor surge is? It's very violent and very bad. Theres a video called True compressor surge. You should take a look at that. Once again, don't comment on somthing you don't know about.

  • You think you know things about forced induction just because you got a cat named turbo lol. Get outta here idiot.

  • he actually explained compressor surge right. You are the one who has this messed up. While under boost, the turbo is forcing air into the Throttle body->intake manifold->motor. When the throttle is lifted, the throttle plate closes. When the throttle plate closes the pressurized air in the pipes have to go somewhere, thats why a BOV or bypass valve is needed on FI applications. If the BOV is not working right the air forces its way back through the turbine and causes the flutter your hear.

  • No, no and no. That google search is indeed wrong too. That's what most people think is surge, the flutter that you hear. My buddy had a kkk27 make that "flutter" noise that most people claim is surge for about 4 years. No problems at all, as i told the other idiot, there is a video on here with a correct demonstration of turbo surge, type in True Compressor Surge. So go head and try to tell the guy's at Synapse engineering what you think is surge bud?

  • Ive seen the video, there is more then 1 kind of compressor surge bro, it can happen different ways. The kind you are denying is in fact a form of compressor surge. If when you search it gives the definition which people have been stating in the comments of this video, then dont you think that theres something wrong with your thinking? Obviously everyone else must be wrong, besides you,of course. And in that video if Im not mistaken it mentions that the surge they found is "a form" of Comp surge

  • Wether it is a form of surge. or just a fluttering sound, it's nowhere near as harmful as what synapse encountered. Your only gonna get TRUE SURGE on high HP applications under boost. I'm just gonna stick with calling the form of surge you claim as "flutter" and they form that synapse encountered as "surge" cause that can truly be catastrophic unlike the little noise that most hear and say it's surge.

  • Sadly you are mistaken, in that video they DID NOT say that the surge they had was a form of compressor surge. As i said there is only 1 REAL type of surge, and it's in that video. So you can just keep yappin at the mouth son. The proof is in the pudding, well, in the video for this matter.

  • And your buddy has a kkk27, wheres your personal experience with forced induction? It sounds like you are pretty nieve on the subject. I would suggest greater research on the subject before playing Internet-Gangsta and calling people idiots. And ill take your words on this one, Just because you have a friend with a turbo doesnt mean you know anything about the subject. And in this video, it is the form of comp surge that other people and myself have been saying.

  • Comment removed

  • And you seem to be the one who needed educating on a Forced induction application. Do a google search and read what it says about compressor surge. I built and drive my Turbo'd car daily. So i think I would qualify for having more then a "cat named turbo".

  • @crossbar53, is that a bad thing a car does it?

  • I like said that a few weeks ago about the dose pipe still no one believes me lol

  • compressor surge.

  • Comment removed

  • most likely compressor surge a type r working right doesnt sound like that

  • wootootoootoootooo

  • @DesickDRT

    I LOL'd ;-)

  • @DesickDRT ahahhahahaha can't believe i got 43 likes

  • witch turbo u need for the bov to sound like that??

  • bro its the blow off valve u need for that sound

  • its the wastegate i think

  • i dont know much about wastegates...what are different about them?? im guessing they may be similar considering the sound haha

  • wastegates dont make noise

  • @silvadacosta it doesnt matter what type of turbo it is, is the actual BOV and is not the G reddy type r, is the Greddy type RS my buddy has it on his rx7

  • Great Car - bad drifting :D

  • to me thats sounds like the type R. it flutters when it blows off! thats why it sounds like that! compressor surge never sounds that pretty!

  • Serach greddy type r bov It dont sound the same on other cars

  • Even If It was the greddy type r then why does the same BOV sound completely different on other cars with It?

  • cause they put it wrong on the title, is the greddy type RS, not the greddy type R

  • He might have a dose pipe too lads

  • ok ..its a compressor surge.. the bov probably aint workin so the air is getting let out through the turbines of the turbo... which is bad for your turbo because the surge slows the turbines down and can occasionally stop them==not good.

  • can we get something straight here...

Is this the BOV? or surge compressor?

  • its the BOV is the type RS that makes that sound, not the R

  • Thanks alot fellor much appreciated

Hopefully getetin a supra this summer :D

  • Well it sounds exactly the same as mine and I don't even have a bov on it, only a external wastegate, explain that?!

  • That's a BOV Greddy Type R

a Surge Compressor sounds like this:

    watch?v=nCj6Spwl1CU&feature=fvw

    GL Cya!

  • That noise is mostly surge via a external wastegate you can hardly hear the bov!

  • Is that a Greddy Type R BOV or a Compressor Surge???????

what I know it's compressor surge, someone please clarify, i am lost (*_*)!

  • @suikoayanajim2 hi again!, lol its the Type-R... told you they sound alike!

  • @Suprafreke AHAAAH! (^_^)

Then i am going to purchase this BOV for my dear ol' RX7 FD :D

    Thanks

  • Greddy Type R BOV

sounds like a compressor surge in a supra ;)

  • compressor surge is when then pressure dont have any wher to go so it hits the turbo and out of the filter thats why you hear that lagging sound when he drops the throttle. tell me if iam wrong

  • compressor surge ..

  • I have truly developed emotions for this BOV

  • My STi's turbo sounds like that. 750 whp.

  • I have a feeling you're full of shit, don't have a single vid uploaded and have 750 whp...prove me wrong

  • gtfo dude you are just pretending to have a car with that much power but u dont even have a video uploaded with ur car....hmmm im wondering why???..
