This is not just a privilege, these students are the top in their classes. It is a combination of high intelligence, attentive parents and hard work from the students. Participate in an outreach program for heavens sake. I'm only a high school senior and I teach AP Calculus BC 3 mornings a week because my school does not offer anything higher than Calc AB. I lamented not having a mentor when I took the exam and got a 3, so I retaught myself in depth over the summer and started an unofficial class.
