Try listening to Tokyo Warhearts. Alexander is the guitar panned left. Some of the harmonised leads he does with Alexi are sick. Hell, some of the leads he does by himself are sick.

But in Tokyo Warhearts, this isn't Roope the second guitar player, this is the old one, Alexander Kuoppala... He was great too, but Roope is, by far, better in my opinion.

i think you have that backwards. Roope is far more technical. If you watch some of their off stage footage. He talks about how sloppy alexi is and how it kills him and they get into mini fights over it. and Roope is basically the one who taught Alexi his style. Listen to Singergy. Roope writes 90% of the solos and they are more technical then most bodom solos.
sure that's why guitar heros and all them like him so much even if he doesn't put the solos to "show off" in children of bodom music cause Alexi is not a show off of course also alexi's solos are much better

i prefer roope somehow, just listen to the sinergy stuff. he can go crazy and rock the shit out of you if he wants, but he usually likes to keep it a little more discreet.
Well once you've gotten to a certain point there's really not much farther you can go. Most great guitar players had developed most of their skills by the time they reached their 20's. Roope is older and has been playing longer. But they are both great guitarists with similar skill levels.
They are almost even.. Roope has a bit more classical heavy metal style of making his solo, while Alexi has a more Wild/rampant style and is better at shredding. I like em both as guitarist though, and it's really hard to decides who's best (Roopes much older too)
I think Roopes better in the aspect of the fact he can play cleaner any time since laiho gets drunk in the middle of a show and then screws up a lot, but still laiho is good. I enjoy hearing him better back in cob old albums better though, I mean Alexi in even something wild falt out amazes me in creativity in the something wild and hatebreeder albums, but still roope is the better guitar player
laiho is definetly one of the best guitarists ever. guitarworld magazine says hes one of the 50 fastest players in the world. however latvala was before laiho and he is an inspiration to laiho. they are both good guitarists. however laiho is more famous cuz he does the vocals for CoB too.

Man, they're amazing! But Alexi's focalize the technical and Roope the sentiment. That's the diference! And I like so much more the Roope style.

Roope isn't as technical as Alexi, but he has much more feeling and soul, plays cleaner live also.

i think you have that backwards. Roope is far more technical. If you watch some of their off stage footage. He talks about how sloppy alexi is and how it kills him and they get into mini fights over it. and Roope is basically the one who taught Alexi his style. Listen to Singergy. Roope writes 90% of the solos and they are more technical then most bodom solos.

i prefer roope somehow, just listen to the sinergy stuff. he can go crazy and rock the shit out of you if he wants, but he usually likes to keep it a little more discreet.

Well once you've gotten to a certain point there's really not much farther you can go. Most great guitar players had developed most of their skills by the time they reached their 20's. Roope is older and has been playing longer. But they are both great guitarists with similar skill levels.

They are almost even.. Roope has a bit more classical heavy metal style of making his solo, while Alexi has a more Wild/rampant style and is better at shredding. I like em both as guitarist though, and it's really hard to decides who's best (Roopes much older too)

I think Roopes better in the aspect of the fact he can play cleaner any time since laiho gets drunk in the middle of a show and then screws up a lot, but still laiho is good. I enjoy hearing him better back in cob old albums better though, I mean Alexi in even something wild falt out amazes me in creativity in the something wild and hatebreeder albums, but still roope is the better guitar player

laiho is definetly one of the best guitarists ever. guitarworld magazine says hes one of the 50 fastest players in the world. however latvala was before laiho and he is an inspiration to laiho. they are both good guitarists. however laiho is more famous cuz he does the vocals for CoB too.

i think that Laiho and Latvala are both very talented guitarists, its too hard to say who is 'better'. laiho is a much more talented composer than latvala however.

i guess it makes sense. roope and alexi get along really well tho, they are great together on stage that is for sure. janne too..cob really are a great band through and through, not just their music, but how well they all really get along.
