  • thanks aolt

    an incredible working

    success to you

  • Any ways, I wish all the best for all Kurds all over the world. And looking forward to the continuous rise of Kurdish cinema.

But please be aware that behind the rise of Kurdish cinema was kind support of nice people like maestro Kiarostami, Makhmalbaf and Jalili.

  • Abolfazl Jalili, Makhmalbaf and Ghobadi introduced Kurdish cinema to Locarno, London and Cannes film festival.

No single Kurdish film has been screened in such prestigious festivals before. "A song For Beko"(1992) did not win any prestigious award.

  • International acclaim of Kurdish cinema started with Abolfazl Jalili, Samira Makhmalbaf and Bahman Ghobadi.

Before these people, there was only one single fully Kurdish film by a Kurdish director in 1992. (please see Movie data Base) No other film is listed. Obviously Kurdish cinema found international reputation after films made by Iranians since 1998.

  • And a lot of attention to some young kurdish filmakers coming from Turkey...

    Regards

  • I think kurdish cinema did not began with Ghobadi. There were some great kurdish

films before, like "A song For Beko" (1992) and some great kurdish filmakers in

Europe as Yuksel Yavuz (making kurdish films since 1998) and Hiner Saleem (making

kurdish films since 2000). And not to mention YOL, which some critics consider

    kurdish in fact.

Ghobadi is the artistic culmination of a young kurdish cinema. He is not the

first one, but in this moment he may be the best one...

  • Kurdish cinema = Bahman Ghobadi and his Iranian friends.

Kiarostami, Makhmalbaf and Iranian Fajr festival helped Ghobadi and started Kurdish cinema.

Bahman Ghobadi`s films are the result of the collaborations between Persians and Kurds.

    Long live Iranian Kurdish cinema!

  • Music of Ghobadi`s films are made by Maestro Hossein Alizadeh who is half Azeri-half Persian.

Samira Makhmalbaf made the first Kurdish film which entered Cannes Festival.

Yılmaz Güney does not belong to Kurdish cinema. His film "Yol" was completely Turkish and had nothing to do with Kurdistan and Kurdish language.

    Long live Iranian Kurdish cinema!

  • The language of Yol and Sürü isnt Kurdish thats right but what they are really about is Kurdish culture and kurdish world. Kurdish artist in Turkey produced so many great novels(Yaşar Kemal), movies, music in Turkish but they are actually created in a Kurdish point of view. İt shouldnt be forgetten that Kurdish was banned until 1991 in Turkey. and today Kurdish jurnalist are prosecuted, jailed. Politician are prosecuted for a Kurdish invitation card.

  • Thanks for the job.

We will make this child to grow up.
