@ henkin, you're correct, we should all just shut ourselves out from all forms of media and ways of making money. Billy Bragg's been around a long time and has tons of fans so of course he's going to be wealthier than your average Joe but this is nothing at all like sports sponsorships etc...this isn't against Commercialism, commerce is essential even in Communism, it's against extreme Capitalism in which Corporations try to take part in every aspect of our lives.

Movie making is just as much an art form as music. just because a corporation owns the rights to the movie doesnt mean that the writer doesnt share the beleifs of the song. why else would he put it in the movie? maybe hes just as sick of it as everyone else and put the song in the movie to spread the message, wich in my opinion is an important one.

oh in my opinion its one of the greatest comic book adaptions i've seen though it doesn't stick to the comics the characters are amazing and the creatures as well but the elf thing talks a lot about human greed and corruption
