When mowing with triples och dubbles, is there anything remaning in the inner corner between the front and the sidemower? Or is this adjustable? Or do you fix this on the second lap?
Oh thats interesting seeing a CLASS mower heads on a JD.... May I make a recommend to you to cut two passes off each end of the field then go from end to end... not sqaures. Your causing improper product drying times, too much product displacement and fuel/time waste by stopping and shifting from forward to reverce then forward again.. Plus the stress on the operator increased. But all that proper machine operation come with experince. But all that comes from experience..
its well saying he,s not working with the groupers on the back mighten go as fast then harder to keep the rows tidy when grouping . going at that speed possible to cut 20 acres to the hour if nothing smashed .
My understanding is that if anything breaks it's the contractor's responsibility. Even if it's a rock he wasn't told about. But I think he does this work every year . . . . Alan
You could be right. I have a dim memory of seeing a third set, looking a bit out-of-use in the long grass at Danyrheol. Probably comes out when it gets really busy!
No idea how many acres per hour, I'll have to enquire. Re. second cut - that's what I was told by one who should know - he did the first cut! And it's not the first second cut, either, there was another guy in Carmarthenshire who got in first earlier this week.
@sduffy8050 that fella as u say isnt going to pay to fix any thing that he,d break going that rate plus he,s not grouping the rows so he ,s not worried abt the mess of the field saying it was for balin hows the baler going to follow all the trails i no our guys wudnt bale it unless it was raked up into 30,s
Glad to have you back, Sir, we (Stan and I) have missed your comments and uploads. King is your title, but modesty becomes you! I appreciate your kind comments. And your example of excellent work has been good to follow.

Good question, but I have never used one, myself. Judging by the field, when cleared, the triples make a clean job on corners.

Thanks for the comment. However the rationale of cutting is nothing to do with me - I only film it.

Alan such a good video,
I have seen a mower something like this befor.
But wow can they cut some hay real fast compared to the
good old days and such a great swath at one pass.
they sure know how to make money fast.

Like the old saying "You have to speculate to accumulate" - cos these machines cost a fortune. Even the rowers are £30,000 or so. GBP.
