I don't want to be mean but I laugh so hard when Selena talks about waking up every morning and telling herself that she's beautiful. Her obsession with beauty is just silly and shallow. Girls her age in other parts of the world don't even have food to eat. Plus, telling yourself that you're beautiful when you're not is lying to yourself.

Research has shown majority of young women has problem with self-image. I don't have to know them in order to know that. If you're beautiful then why do you have to tell yourself that you're beautiful? Besides, there are more important things in life than just being beautiful, don't you think?

I've had a really hard time accepting myself growing up. I have small eyes, short legs, broad hips, small chest, round face, awkward elbows, bony knees, large feet etc. But in the last years I have realised that it doesn't matter that I don't look like the girl on the magazine cover because all this flaws are part of me! And there are people out there who love me for who I am with all my good and bad sides and knowing that just feels great! =)
