@Pictor100 Yes it most certainly does - what a wonderful analogy Pictor100 - I was very disapointed that they didn't use Gord's "Canadian Railroad Triology" at the Winter Olympics.... No Lightfoot????!!! Nothing! What a damn shame! At least Neil Young played.

This is a great example of Lightfoot's songwriting genius. Both music and lyrics evoke the emotion of restlessness with perfect synergy.

I consider this song to be one of his real gems. As fellow Canadian David Foster said, Gord wrote a song on what it is to be Canadian.
