I LOVE her, and this aria is overwhelming!

Superb, good high notes too, and remember in 1958 she was already in vocal decline. Other singers may sing this more beautifully or with more ethereal pianissimo, but here Callas in incomparable. Listen to the quiet, resigned sadness, the diminuendi and soft trills, the perfect phrasing and intonation. Even the vibrato on the final note seems in place!
