ivysaur was a disapointment here. when ever against a sword wielding character(marth, ike, link etc.) then i find him very affective because his range matches theirs. a very gd marth though, but PT rules

There are very few combos in Brawl due to the fast recovery of characters and if a "combo" is escapable then it isn't by definition a combo but just a string of moves you luckily caught your opponent in. In Melee there were lots of combos because of slow recovery times so in Brawl you will have to rely more on catching your opponent off gaurd.

wow that's not proof at all, he's one of the only characters who win that way, and that's the only reason he is considered a good character along with his recovery. the only reason he combos is cuz his attacks individually are so bad that they hardly have any knock back (ask any MK player, he has like 1 KO move and that isn't even really a KO move, just strong compared to his other attacks).

ivysaur can combo pretty well, it's just this pokemon trainer sucks. he did like everything wrong

Well I can assume they are playing in a near standard Tourney rules to melee tournies. Many had imposed time-limits to make sure players didnt drag out the fight with odd strategies, they just got down to business. And since characters seem to live longer in Brawl, they have gone for 3 lives instead of 4.
