    your a GUN

  • lol this also looks like from the 80's ^^

  • you rule

  • off topic. do you know that gazda means farmer in many slavic languages? czech, slovak etc...

  • Yes. Also, Highlander, or supervisor, or Reeve.

  • @bombur792 in serbian that means boss

  • Bravo my friend, bravo! So true to the original, fantastic, mysterious, hypnotising....awesome!

  • Excellent job, from an excellent song, mate!

  • I'm Impressed, nice job. RV

  • not bad)) very well =)

but if you have a sampler, you can play every track of this melody in live))

  • Well, a sequencer, but yes. It was handling the drums and solo.

  • very nice gear.

  • It is a song that requires 2 players and you pull it off in a good way...I tried to play it and after 5 minutes I got cramped fingers and wrist...

  • Listen to my production on youtube : LAZH MAN "video gamer's mix" sounds like Visage but it's not a copy. Please give a note if you like it.

  • nice

  • Great song, nice work.

  • Thats gotta be alot of fun to play. I know i would be on there for many hours : )

  • could u tell me the string chords?

  • Suffice to say I have no idea. I think it starts as a d minor, then bottom note goes down one, then middle note down one, then a different chord altogether. It uses a lot of inversions so your hand doesnt move around too much.

  • k thanks for the help, i found a vid that tells u the chords anyway but thanks againe :)

  • oh i see ¡¡¡¡ so they call it inversions sometimes i get all mixed up when im doing inversions with my right hand and bass with the left hand

  • hmmm super lubie sobie posłuchać czasem.... 5* for you:D

  • y r great...

  • This is amazing! Really, you're talented!

  • this is really cool man. cool ocean vibes

  • Belle musique ! Félicitations !

  • great effort... really good!! thats why i love elctronica... combination of music and technology :)

  • You make it look so easy! Great sound. Great job! Awesome!!

I just wish I could play as good as you!

  • This was try number 40

  • very very nicem could u give me base notes?

  • super

  • haha nice bonner at the start ...!!!!

  • thank you man

  • great stuff man.... sounds spot on to the original!!!

  • Excellent!!

  • good job !

  • Love it !

  • Feel the rain

    "like an English summer

Feel the notes from a distant song.

Stepping out from a back shop poster

Wishing life wouldn't be so dull"

Great job, you have a nice setup there as well as great taste in music_

  • Yes. Only a few things have the physical sound of awesome: Synthesizers, The Jaguar XJR-15 S/C Race Version, The Saturn V rocket, a 5 1/4 inch hard drive spinning up, and the Atlantic City Convention Hall pipe organ.

  • That's a really great effort. Nice sound - pretty authentic!

  • Ohhh yeah, sounds awesome!

  • can you do any kraftwerk?

  • very nice

  • lovely..i found myself talking in french halfway through it. Lol

  • Excellent! I really wish I could play music like you do!!

  • Brings back memories my generation

  • bro, gotta give you mad props for this classic. do you use GBand for most of your programming? i just started using it since i just figured out my cubase 3 won't rewire with reason (unless i upgrade to cubase 4)

i'd love to see you do some programming tips on Gband

  • No, I use a sequencing program for the macintosh from 1994. I do not use virtual instruments, nor will I ever, unless somebody gives me a Hartmann Neuron. Those things are kinda neat.

  • Perfect!!!...Wish i could play like that.

  • exellent!!!!!!!

  • Very nice job...play more Visage or Ultravox..they rock hard!! :-)xx

  • this is ace =D ur take on the song is really nice and very very very good! i wish i could play it lol

  • buena...muy bueno

  • buena musica.......

  • sounds like a midi file playing on a soundblaster 16 isa card..lol

  • At the turn of the cntury, I used to compose with a computer containg 4 soundcards. It was the only way to get any tonal variance. One of these was the good ol' SB AWE16. I experimented with multichannel audio, but only my old VCR could record and play back up to three simultaneous tracks.

  • spot on :)

  • Get that left hand woikin' boy! There aren't nearly enough pumps on the BASS part of the left hand to make it sound authentic rhythmically. Constructively speaking... So you don't get the false impression you're a keyboard god with all the non-musicians applauding you because you found the correct SOUNDS. That's only a quarter of the battle won - and you know it. Perfect Practice Makes Perfect! Excelsior!

  • 99% of synth players can't get this sound. would you rather hear a more complex bassline on a tinny-sounding korg triton? i sure as hell wouldn't. this guy never claimed to be a superstar. he's an outstanding programmer...jeez!

  • I never even claimed to get the programming right, which I didn't. But I don't think it was a slight.

  • fuck off

  • this is a video i come back to all the time. I love the music to fade to grey and this is the best instrumental around.Keep up the good work

  • check out 'transparent sound' version of fade to grey

  • You are awesome than the other!

  • cool

  • Really good job:)

  • VERY NICE

  • fantastic!

  • Got a strong feelin' Bass is Oberheim OB-X, my version uses that as a bass... Damn why youtube destroys sound quality that much?:(((

    watch?v=089XOLkkNS8

  • The Pad is Solina 4 sure.

  • bagels is tht all u got lad u aint gd at dis r u jack white probably doesn't even like bagels cause es too busy makin crap lik dis sound gd haha u need 2 make ur own music cause dats rubbish

  • You can't spell dude. This makes you sound thick. Visage were the real deal, sampled by all the 'hip hop innovators', who couldn't and still don't have a tune unless it's lifted as a sample from a 20 year old hit.

  • so true

  • shit Whay u knob ed jack white makes playing lik dis sound interestin cause e plays around with it u need a haircut by da way it looks bad haha

  • People say the way I spread cream cheese on a bagel is very much like how jack white does-

To think I am supposed to be an innovator.

  • Duuuh ... Micromoog Lol

  • A very trained ear can pick out different synths used, but some people can hear so well that it is impractical and changes the experience of listening to music to that of analyzation. Some synths have their signatures. The DX7 and CS-80 are always telltale..but don'tlet this ruin the experience.

  • I'm enjoying your "live" performance very much indeed:) I couldn't do better without a sequencer playback... So don't get me wrong...

  • Ok sorry:) Now I read you're using Minimoog on bass:)

  • Dunno what is it you're playing the bass on (a moog perhaps?), I don't even know what they used for the bass... but I got a strong feeling it should be an Oberheim OB-X, coz' I've got the OP-X VST and one of its basses is totally the same as original :) great work btw... try to take a bit off the attack on bass, there's actually another sub bass-type one coming in at the start of the kick.

  • Great rendition.

  • Shame the recording is so quiet.

    Well done though! :-)

  • Very very good. But I bet that bum note RIGHT at the end really pissed on your chips! ;)

  • Thanks!!... as all the great Solina Eminent videos playing Equinoxe with the real sounds... I never dreamed before to see the true creators of such masterpieces...

  • amazing!

  • Wow amazing ...

  • Brill, excellent, your a lucky guy with all that gear where did ya get it?

  • zajebiscie!!!

  • Excellent!

Cars by Gary Numan would sound great ;-)

  • Well let me whip out the polymoog

  • The original Fade to Grey track used sounds from the Polymoog - 'Vox Humana' (for the choir/string pad sound) and 'Harpsi' (for the lead) - presets of course! Not sure what was used for the bass part.

  • Edeosca!

  • That was very nice!

  • BRILLIANT INSTRUM OF A GREAT TRACK

  • AWESOME JOB! Way to go dude.

  • GREAT!!as all your videos!! sounds amazing!!

Beatiful gear and a lot of talent behind all!!

    keep analog rockin!!

    sweet dreams from Brasil!

  • you are a brave man, playing it live w/ a hand on bass and the other on strings.

good job and very close sounds!

  • very awesome. i remember this being the first new romantic track i ever heard. in fact it sounds better than the live performance i heard of this back in the day

  • the balls!

  • Really nice work! I also got an Oberheim. It's a Matrix-1000, but it still powerful with a computer editor.

  • They are the same device, thereabouts. I edit mine by computer too.

  • awesome

  • excellent!

  • Now I have seen all your videos xept the cat vid...

  • That was great. really good sound from the synth's

  • Great performance and nice setup you have there.

  • I love this song, this is the best version does it justice

  • too bad there was no french woman to vocalize...

  • ah nevermind, still sounds good.

  • it is so close to the original that I am hearing the missing voices never the less - in other words superb!

  • Wow! Sounds really good!

  • Superb!

  • bravo!!!!

  • Grazie!!!!!

  • Nice job!

I am surprised how amazingly close you can get with those 2 synths. Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks, though I almost didn't make it through the whole thing. The Moog keyboard was never designed to do the octave bass we all know and love.

  • very ORGANized...

  • With linguistic skills like that, it is a good thing you are not my enemy.
