UFO over Manchester shoots off after encountering commercial jet 20/07/09

Wow that's a good video. You look at it and think "thats weird, it looks stationary." Then it starts moving left. Then it could be a plane, on a curving flight path the start of it was coming towards you, then 2 planes move in from the left and you can clearly see the flashing lights on both of them. None on the craft you was filming. Then it shot off out of range and sight. Nice find. Very nice

Great Catch this is a very good catch.

You zoom in and so can see its not a chinese lantern as no orange flicker, then at the end you see ufo move off out of sight/disapear and you have 2 planes in the same video at end for reference.

Yeah man, i live in manchester to and i've seen the exact same thing! i have no idea what it is or anything but i am glad someone else has seen it! although the one i saw was a lil different because just before it darted off it kind of like went brighter.. and then darted off so yeah, but your vids cool, its good at 2minutes aswell between the houses!!

what about last night? about 40 orange 'orbs' at 12.10 round Blackley. Most flying in front of m/cr flight path! Few were coming in from Oldham, Leeds and Wigan ('orbs' that is!) NO way were they planes, chinese lanterns, Venus, fireworks, comets, meteors, satellites or weather balloons. My son reads daily star and txt maniacs av been piping on about these 4 abit. julie mac.x

at 2.01 there is a light that shoots off horizontally, exactly between the 2 roof lines. great!

duff, it is not a meteorite or starflash, as they don't move like that but only diagonally/eliptically. and it's enormous speed says it all. these objects, whatever they are, are allways around us, only visible to our trained eyes and some of our technology (new cameras, etc).

i'm very happy for you because believe me, once you see them, you will always do. there will be times when it calms down, but they will always 'knock at your door' to remind you there are there.

hey man, where do you live? I've seen ufo's over wigan when I lived there but since moving to manchester I haven't spotted any. haven't been looking up as often these days to be fair. the thing that sjoots off at 2.00 minute is impressive. I'd get that checked out to make sure its not a strange camera effect. looks very interesting

at 1.59, there's a light that flies off behind the house, bottom centre... there's something weird going on... i believe you!

Saw the very same thing althoigh at rush hour on the Parkway It flew very swiftly from the cemetry side of the Parkway towards and beyond the Siemens buildind below a heavilly clouded sky Bright silver and pristine perfect sphere Not of this world and its the 5th one ive seen this year !!

Under the cloud too, nice! Cant believe some stil say these are lanterns, planes, helicopters, flies! (lol)...i always check when the ISS & bigger satellites are passing over before i post so other than that i dont know what else they could be but there's alot of them around here i know that. And thats not all, been photographing a lot of orbs when it's dark the past week or so...just take random pics with a digital camera with the flash on & see if you spot anything unusual floating around ; )

whatever it is. its a ufo. its not identified, its definitly flying and it seems to be an object.

I can see what you;re talking about, it's at 1:09. A Smaller light to the left of the other one darts up and up to the right. Just so we're on the same page we are saying that the other bright (static) light is something too right? It's not a star or something? I saw the other one at twilight aswell, very interesting, i live in Dublin and all we get is cloud unless someone else cares to enlighten me. How often does this occur?

From where I am in Salford. I could see planes underneath them comin in to land. And this thing was sat there blinking White blue and green. Then went dimmed like it was fadin away. Then moved slowly towards airport ..stopped,, went bright again and started movin in opposite direction. At faster speed and stopped ,,, dimmed again and then glided away behind some flats in my view ... The planes must have noticed that. Must of.  No doubt about it

haha, its a chopper or maybe the space station. Why were you moving the cam about when you were zoomed in. Were you trying to make it seem like the object was darting about?

It's called not being very good at filming with a loose tripod mount. Not trying to fool anybody into anything just sharing a clip of something strange i captured...if thats what you think it is fair play to you.

I'm afraid that is the Space Shuttle my friend. You can tell by the trajectory and the distance it is from your location. That's a fairly rare sight to catch on camera, but if you look outside on a clear night you can see a fair few satellites travelling across the sky.

Sorry mate but i've yet to see satellites or the Space Shuttle move downwards before coming to a stop then dissapearing altogether. Appreciate you're trying to present a case against this being a UFO but the activity around here has been crazy recently & you cant just claim it's something it's not when you didn't see it with your own eyes like i did...have a look at my other captures & see if you think they're the same ; )

did not see it shooting off. I believe it "went dark" when the plane was close. I have seen this happen many times when a plane comes near. great catch!
