You know, now that I think about it, even though they've been saved twice by NELs, the Hippies are pretty strong racers. Their first non-elimination save was after one of those bullshit luck tasks, and the other was more of a 3 way tie for last, with the hippies just being the last to step on the mat after the footrace.

Ugh. It seems like they always go to Alaska or Hawaii on the final leg of every season except for seasons 7 and 10. I havent seen season 6 or the end of season 5 though. So I don't know about those seasons.

They do go to Hawaii in season 6, but they go from Calgary to Dallas in the last leg of season 5
